    Kind reference is invited to your letter No. HFW45/MME/2013 dated June 11, 2014.
    As indicated in our letter May 27, 2013 we agree to suppot Cancer Care faclity in
    Govemment Medical Colleges and District Hospitals in a phased manner. However
    t may not be feasIble to support, if the facilities are to be created as PPP model
    (Publc Pnvate Partnership). We wil be in a poSition to extend support ony t tne
    facilities are created by Govemment of Karnataka on its own and -not through PPP
    model.

    As desired we can consider supporting Govemment Medical Colleges with Linear


    Accelerator (Single Energy) with TPS, CT Stim, Brachytherapy, and moud room
    accessoies etc. and In District Hospitals with CobaBt 60 (Bhabhatron) with planning
    system in a phased manner.

    However the support in each station will have to ba based on the need of that
    region, availability of tralned manpower and other support services ike general
    medical support etc. Unless this not fulfilled crealing a cancer care facility in that
    region may not give the requlred result. We also WOuld like to request that the first
    District Hospítal to be considered tor Cobalt 60 equipmant may be Karwar District
    Hospltal to cater the neæds of Kaiga, Karwar, Ankola and Yellapur population.

    We are keen to take this proposal fonward. Kindly conslder how this project can be
    taken forward for early implementation.
