The Wowhead Diablo IV Class Overview of the Druid will showcase the current state of
the Druid in Diablo IV.
This guide covers everything you need to know about the Druid, including a deep look at
class gameplay, unique class mechanics, primary stats, all available skills, upgrades, and
passives.
Unlike the Druid in Diablo II, the Diablo IV druid is fluid. You can pick both Wolf and Bear
forms, switching seamlessly between them to make a fast-attacking Wolf that's got the
survivability of the biggest, baddest Bear. You can combine the elemental forces of wind,
earth, and air to confound and destroy your enemies -- even mix a shapeshifter with a
caster if you like. There are a variety of Companions to choose from, or even select more
than one -- swarming Ravens, targeted fortifying Wolves, or poisonous immobilizing
Vines.
The possible combinations are only limited by your imagination. This is a truly flexible
class with a wealth of possibilities!

Druid Quick Facts in Diablo IV
Every class in Diablo IV has multiple skill groups to choose their skills from. These skill
groups categorize certain skills by attributes like damage type or class theme. From
strikes and storms, roars and barriers, pets and typhoons, Ultimate Skills and passives,
the Druid has a cornucopia of damage and defensive skills to select for maximum
damage and protection.
For the full list of Skills, Upgrades, and Passives, see our Druid Skill Overview.
To plan, save and refer back to a build, you can use our Druid Skill Calculator. This will
allow you full functionality to choose skills, enhancements, upgrades and other skills
features. We'll be adding class mechanics soon. Your build will be saved in the URL so
you can always come back to your build just by bookmarking.

Each class comes with a unique Dismount Ability which the player can activate. Players
who get hit by an enemy will be dismounted automatically and will not be able to activate
their Dismount Ability.
When Druids activate their Dismount Ability they will leap into the air, shapeshift into
Werebear form, and slam onto the ground.
The Druid's Unique Class Mechanic is the Spirit Boons System. Spirit Animals, located
in Scosglen, will grant the player a variety of boons to choose from depending on the
Spirit Animals they have bonded with. Druids will be able to choose one boon from each
Spirit Animal that they have unlocked. These boons can be swapped out at will. Once
Druids have unlocked all four Spirit Animals they can select a second boon from one of
the Spirit Animals to receive a total of five buffs.

Druids can earn Aspects by completing different dungeons across Sanctuary. Some of
these are general to all classes, while many of these are class specific. We have
comprehensive lists of the dungeon locations to collect all Aspects of interest to the Druid.
For a complete list of all Codex of Power aspects that are specific to the Druid class,
please see the following guide sections:
Shepherd: Core Skills deal an additional X% damage for each active Companion.
Ballistic: When you have Fortify your Earth Skills gain +2 Ranks.
Please refer to these guides for information about Druid Legendary Aspects and using the
Occultist to transfer Aspects from one piece of gear to another:

The primary effects of each primary stat will differ depending on the class. The Druid's
Primary Stats grant the following primary effects. Each Primary Stat also comes with a
secondary defensive effect, which is the same for all classes.
