DETAILED LESSON PLAN
4.2 Activity The teacher will do a presentation. The teacher will now play the instrumental music
(4 minutes) (karaoke) then the teacher will sing a visayan song entitled “Pasayawa ko day” with
costume, props and choreography (gestures). The teacher will let the students observe.
After the said presentation, the teacher will call random students to answer the questions.

The teacher will discuss the important information of the basic roles that most plays require
(production staff): Producer, Director, Playwright, Set Designer, Lighting Designer, Costume
4.4 Abstraction Designer, Sound Designer, Production Manager, Technical Director, Choreographer,
(20 minutes) Makeup Designer. The teacher will provide some sample pictures of each role in the play
production to let the students identify. After the discussion, the teacher will ask the
student/s to answer the question: What is the most important thing in a stage production?
[COMMUNICATION]
The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. The teacher will let the student in each
group to imagine that they are part of a production team and each group are about to
produce a musical play entitled “TYPHOON MAWAR: A Precautionary Measures Before
and After Typhoon”. Each group must choose one role in a stage production and perform
your role according to their respective tasks.
Pick one on the following role to perform:

Application Costume Designer: Sketch or draw a costume of the said musical play.
(14 minutes) Playwright: Write a short skit on the precautionary measures before or after typhoon.
Sound Designer: Compose a song for the said musical play.
Choreographer: Choreograph at least 1 minute dance step that shows the precautionary
measures of the Typhoon Mawar.
Set Designer: Make a stage layout of the said musical play.
The teacher will let the student in each group to decide what kind of materials to use. The
teacher will give at least 12 minutes to collaborate/ to practice/ putting their ideas into action
within the group and each group will be given 1-2 minute to present their output to the
class. The said performance task will be graded based on the criteria prepared by the
teacher.
