Description of Heaven

& Hell – ‫وصف الجنة و النار‬

ُ ‫ َمنْ َي ْه ِد ِه هَّللا‬، ‫ت َأ ْع َمالِ َنا‬ َ ْ‫ور َأ ْنفُسِ َنا َومِن‬
ِ ‫س ِّيَئ ا‬ ُ ْ‫ َو َن ُعو ُذ بِاهَّلل ِ مِن‬، ‫ َو َن َت َو َّكل ُ َعلَ ْي ِه‬، ‫ َن ْح َم ُدهُ َو َن ْس َتعِي ُن ُه َو ُنْؤ مِنُ ِب ِه‬، ِ ‫ِإنَّ ا ْل َح ْمدَ هَّلِل‬
ِ ‫ش ُر‬
‫سولُ ُه‬ ‫هَّللا‬
ُ ‫ َوَأنَّ ُم َح َّم ًدا َع ْب ُدهُ َو َر‬، َ ‫ش َه ُد َأال ِإلَ َه ِإال‬ ْ ‫ َوَأ‬، ‫ِي لَ ُه‬
َ ‫ضلِلْ َفال هَاد‬ ْ ‫ َو َمنْ ُي‬، ‫ َفال ُمضِ ل َّ لَ ُه‬ 

Last Khutba we talked about signs of the judgement day and how it will start, and today
Inshallah we will continue from the beginning of the judgement moment, Allah ‫رب العزة‬
says:

‫ين ْالقِسْ َط لِ َي ْو ِم ْالقِ َيا َم ِة‬ ِ ‫ض ُع ْال َم َو‬

َ ‫از‬ َ ‫َو َن‬

“ (21:47) And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection,” on that day,
there is going to be scales for every single person, and there’s going to be three types
of people when it comes to scale, the first,,, ‫ يدخلون الجنة بغير حساب‬ they enter Jannah
without any scaling, they skip the scales, they are going to be the elite of the elite,

 The prophet ‫ صلي هللا عليه و سلم‬ said: ‘My Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of
my nation will enter Paradise without being brought to account or punished.   ‫اب َعلَي ِْه ْم‬
َ ‫الَ ح َِس‬
‫اب‬ َ َ
َ ‫وال َعذ‬ َ  With every thousand will be (another) seventy thousand,,,,,, and three handfuls
of my Lord, the Glorified.’” I ask allah to make us amongst them 😊

The second category is those who are going to have a generic  ‫ حسابا يسيرا‬easy
Judgment. And this is given to the righteous believes.

The rest of the people, the non believer, hypocrites and weak believers will be
questioned there sins in details. Why have you done such and such and this will be a
torture in itself.

The prophet ‫ صلي هللا عليه و سلم‬ said: “There will be none among you but his Lord will speak
to him, and there will be no interpreter between them nor a screen to screen Him.”

 The prophet ‫ صلي هللا عليه و سلم‬ said: ‘On the Day of Resurrection, the believer will be
brought close to his Lord until He will cover him with His veil  ُ‫ض َع َعلَ ْي ِه َك َن َفه‬
َ ‫ َي‬, then He will
make him confess his sins. He will ask him: “Do you confess?” He will say: “O Lord, I
confess.” This will continue as long as Allah wills, then He will say: ‫ك فِي ال ُّد ْن َيا َوَأ َنا‬ َ ‫َس َترْ ُت َها َعلَ ْي‬
 َ َ‫“ َأ ْغفِ ُر َها ل‬I concealed them for you in the world, and I forgive you for them today.”
‫ك ْال َي ْو َم‬
Then he will be given the book of his good deeds, in his right hand,,,,, But as for the
disbeliever or the hypocrite, ‫ُوس اَأل ْش َها ِد‬ ِ ‫ َف ُي َنا َدى َعلَى ُرء‬ (his sins) will be announced before the
witnesses.’ These are the ones who lied against their Lord!’ No doubt! The curse of
Allah is on the wrongdoers.”

For some Muslims, this type of account is all the punishment they deserve,, and Allah
will forgive them, because simply being questioned by Allah individually is of course a
punishment in itself, but for others, this punishment is the beginning of yet further
punishment.

 –

After the deeds are weighed, it’s either great reward in Paradise,, or severe punishment
in Hell Fire.

If you want to know how sever the punishment in ‫ جهنم‬ is, listen to this Hadith,

‫ار َع َذابًا َي ْو َم ْالقِ َيا َم ِة‬ ‫َأ‬ ‫َأ‬

ِ ‫ِإنَّ هْ َو َن هْ ِل ال َّن‬

The least suffering from the inhabitants of Hell on the Day of Resurrection would be
made to stand on two bits of burning coal and his brain would boil on account of them
and that is the lowest  level of punishment in ‫ جهنم‬ and the hadith says he will think he is
enduring the greatest punishment yet it  is the easiest of punishments in ‫ جهنم‬.

Allah ‫ رب العزة‬ has made the punishment of  Jahannam such that at every level it keeps
increasing so from one moment to the next  it is worse, and there’s no getting ready for
it,, there’s no building resistance and  resilience from it.

It lasts on and on

َ ‫ودا َغي َْر َها لِ َي ُذوقُوا ْال َع َذ‬

 ‫اب‬ ً ُ‫ت ُجلُو ُد ُه ْم َبد َّْل َنا ُه ْم ُجل‬
ْ ‫ُكلَّ َما َنضِ َج‬

every time their skins are burnt off, We shall replace them with new skins, so that they
may taste suffering [in full]

My dear brothers, Allah is perfect,, his punishment is perfect and his reward is perfect
likewise,,  when he wishes to reward you,, you will not feel more satisfied,,, And when
he wishes to punish you,,, you will not experience more agony and pain. His
punishment and his reward like himself are perfect,,  So Jahannam is made pure
punishment,,  there is no ‫ رحمة‬in Jahannam there’s no mercy, there is only torture and
pain.
 And don’t say to yourself as Muslim I eventually will go to Jannah,, you will it is true but
if Allah ‫سبحانه و تعالي‬  is to dip you in Jahannam it will suck away every happiness from
you,, the prophet ‫ صلي هللا عليه و سلم‬says a person who had led the most luxurious life in
this world will be brought up on the Day of Resurrection and dipped in the Fire and will
be asked: ‘O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any comfort? Did you happen to get
any luxury?’ He will reply: ‘By Allah, no, my Lord.’!! That’s just one dip in Jahannam,,
what if you were destined for a day in ‫ جهنم‬ the single day at your lord is worth a 1000
years long of our calculations,,,,,,, Wlahy my brothers it’s not worth risking,,, not even a
dip..

When people of Jahannam have entered Jahannam and people of Jannah have
entered Jannah,, in between the two,, death is brought in the form of a sheep,, and
angels calls out, oh people of Jannah do you know this, they say yes we know it we met
it, it’s death, and then they ask people of Gahannam do you know this, they say yes it’s
death,, so then the angel slaughters death,, and he proclaims to the people of Gannah
‫ يا أهل النار خلود فال موت‬.. ‫يا أهل الجنة خلود فال موت‬

Oh people of Gannah, eternity and no death,, oh people of Jahanam, eternity and no

death,, there is no coming out, this is it!! ‫ الي أبد األبد‬ 

 – – – Jahanam

People of Jahnnam are suffering all sorts of torture and they call upon Allah saying:

َ ‫َر َّب َنا َأ ْخ ِرجْ َنا ِم ْن َها َفِإنْ ع ُْد َنا َفِإ َّنا َظالِم‬
‫ُون‬

(23:107) Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed
be wrongdoers.”

ِ ‫اخ َسُئوا فِي َها َواَل ُت َكلِّم‬

‫ُون‬ ْ ‫َقا َل‬

(23:108) He will say, “Remain humiliated therein and do not speak to Me.

They will call upon the people of Gannah,,

‫اب ْال َج َّن ِة َأنْ َأفِيضُوا َعلَ ْي َنا م َِن ْال َماء َأ ْو ِممَّا َر َز َق ُك ُم هَّللا‬
َ ‫ار َأصْ َح‬ ‫َأ‬
ِ ‫َو َنا َد ٰى صْ َحابُ ال َّن‬

(7:50) “Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allah has provided you.” They will
َ ‫“ ِإنَّ هَّللا َ َحرَّ َم ُه َما َعلَى ْال َكاف ِِر‬Indeed, Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers.”
say,  ‫ين‬
 (7:51) Who took their religion as an amusement and play, and the life of the Donya
deceived them. So this Day We shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this
Day, and as they used to reject Our proofs and revelations….

After god know how long time they make another request,,

ِ ‫ف َع َّنا َي ْومًا م َِّن ْال َع َذا‬

‫ب‬ ْ ‫ار ل َِخ َز َن ِة َج َه َّن َم ْادعُوا َر َّب ُك ْم ي َُخ ِّف‬ َ ‫َو َقا َل الَّذ‬
ِ ‫ِين فِي ال َّن‬

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Supplicate your Lord to lighten for
us a day from the punishment.”,,, They just want a day off,,,

They will reply, “Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?” They
will say, “Yes.”

َ ‫ َقالُوا َف ْادعُوا ۗ َو َما ُد َعا ُء ْال َكاف ِِر‬ 

َ ‫ين ِإاَّل فِي‬
 ‫ضاَل ٍل‬

“Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in
Vein”.

The torture is unbearable and there is no day off and no water to drink,, they call onto
the guardian of the hell

‫ُّك‬ ِ ‫ك لِ َي ْق‬
َ ‫ض َعلَ ْي َنا َرب‬ ُ ِ‫َو َناد َْوا َيا َمال‬

(43:77) And they will call, “O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!”

Let your Lord kill us, we just want to die,, we’ve had enough!,, and he will respond with
2 words,,

َ ‫َقا َل ِإ َّن ُك ْم َماك ُِث‬

 ‫ون‬

 “Indeed, you will remain.”  

‫أقول قولي هذا و أستغفر هللا لي و لكم أو كما قال التائب من الذنب كمن ال ذنب له‬

 – – Jannah

‫بسم هللا و الصاله و السالم علي رسول هللا ثم أما بعد‬..

So what about Jannah?

 ْ ‫ِين َما الَ َعيْنٌ َرَأ‬
The Prophet, said ‫ت‬ ُ ‫َيقُو ُل هَّللا ُ َت َعالَى َأعْ د َْد‬
َ ‫ت لِ ِع َبادِي الصَّالِح‬

Allah said, ‘I have prepared for My righteous worshipers what no eye has ever seen

ْ ‫َوالَ ُأ ُذنٌ َسم َِع‬

‫ت‬

 no ear has ever heard of, 

ِ ‫َوالَ َخ َط َر َعلَى َق ْل‬

‫ب َب َش ٍر‬

“and nobody has ever thought of”,,,,,,, think of anything you want to have in Jannah,,
and the Jannah is waaay better than that, your human mind today can’t comprehend
how perfect it is.

And the hadith goes on “besides which, all that you have seen, is nothing.”

Then he recited:

  َ‫س َما ُأ ْخف َِي لَ ُه ْم مِنْ قُ َّر ِة َأ ْع ُي ٍن َج َزا ًء بِ َما َكا ُنوا َي ْع َملُون‬
ٌ ‫{ َفالَ َت ْعلَ ُم َن ْف‬

‘No soul knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to
do.’ (32.17)

My dear brothers, the smell of Janna is to be smelled from one hundred years walking
distance..

Angels will enter upon the believers from every gate in Jannah, saying,

ِ ‫ص َبرْ ُت ْم ۚ َفنِعْ َم ُع ْق َبى الد‬

‫َّار‬ َ ‫َساَل ٌم َعلَ ْي ُك ْم ِب َما‬

(13:24) Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final
home.

Listen to when Musa ‫ عليه السالم‬ asked Allah ‫ سبحانه و تعالي‬ about the least person in rank in
Jannah.. Allah responds to him that it would be a person that would come after
everyone else has entered into Janna and it would be said to him enter and take your
portion of it and the man would say Ya Allah how can I take my  portion when everyone
else has already taken their portion and Allah ‫ سبحانه و تعالي‬ says to him

‫أترضى أن يكون لك مثل ملك ملك من ملوك الدنيا‬

Will you be satisfied and pleased if you have a kingdom like that of a king of the world?
He will say: I will be satisfied, my Lord. Allah will say: For you is that, and like that and
like that and like that and like that. He will say at the fifth time: ‫ رضيت رب‬I am well-
pleased, my Lord. Allah will say: It is for you and ten times more like it. You will have
whatever your soul desires and whatever your eyes could delight in.

Allah says:

‫ َولَدَ ْي َنا َم ِزي ٌد‬ ‫فِي َها‬ ‫ون‬

َ ‫ َي َشاُؤ‬ ‫لَ ُه ْم َما‬

“There they will have all that they desire and We have more (for them)”

The prophet said, “When the inhabitants of Paradise enter Paradise, Allah will say to
them, ‘Do you want Me to give you anything more?’ They will reply, ‘Have You not made
our faces bright? Have You not brought us into Paradise and moved us from Hell?’
Allah will then remove the Veil and they will feel that they have not been awarded
anything dearer to them than looking at their Lord.”

Jareer ibn ‘Abd-Allah ‫ رضي هللا عنه‬said: “We were sitting with the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi
wa sallam), looking at the moon on the night of the fourteenth (of the month). He said,
‘You will see your Lord with your own eyes just as you are looking at this (moon),
without any doubt that you are seeing Him.’”

My dear brothers, Jannah is the prize of prizes, Allah ‫ رب العزة‬ has given you Islam, and
you’ve been given the keys to enter Jannah,, now strive and struggle to earn the mercy
of your Lord so you can be of the people of Jannah and remember:

‫ أال إن سلعة هللا الجنة‬.. ‫أال إن سلعة هللا غالية‬

Allah’s prize is indeed expensive,, Allah’s prize is Jannah.

َ ‫ار َوُأ ْد ِخ َل ْال َج َّن َة َف َق ْد َف‬

‫از‬ ِ ‫ۗ َف َمنْ ُزحْ ِز َح َع ِن ال َّن‬

whoever is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful.
And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.

I ask Allah to let us enter paradise without judgement or previous punishment, I ask
Allah to give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good,
‫‪and save us from the punishment of the Fire. I ask Allah to make us amongst those who‬‬
‫‪will be please to see his mighty face‬‬

‫‪. ‬نستغـفـُرك اللـهم من جميع الذنوب والخطـايا ونتوب اٍليك‬

‫‪ ..‬اللـهم تـقبـل منـا اٍنك أنت السميـع العـليم ‪ ..‬و ُتب علينا اٍنك أنت التواب الرحيم‬

‫‪.‬وصلي اللهم على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم‬
