National Law University Jodhpur, in its two and a quart decade long academic odyssey, has
consistently and gainfully been a precursor in augmenting the ambit of academic delivery and
research in the copious and diverse spheres of law. The University has been a plenipotentiary
vouching for the highest learning and research standards in the academic fraternity while firmly
believing in the ideal of sound education being an expedient to the plenitudinous act of nation-
building. The chief traits of the University’s modus operandi include consistently driving
academic innovation and research; transforming the sphere of education for a prismatic future
consolidation of academic learning; inculcating the highest ethical standards in our talented
students and honouring the canonical legacy of legal systems while contributing proactively
towards its timely metamorphosis.
Our teaching pedagogy intermixes convention with innovation- with each teacher having the
liberty to chart the academic trajectory of the paper administered and training scholars to
analyze and rationalize, to critique and reform, to examine the micro as well as macro aspects
of a problem, to argue fluidly and pen fluently, using cutting edge technology and access to
some of the most fecund global legal databases. As a concomitant and outcome of the diverse
learning exposure given to them, our alumni today constitute the crème de la crème of the Bar
and the Bench, hold positions of eminence in national and international law firms and massive
global conglomerates, vocalize people’s rights as zealous advocates while sensitizing the
population by guaranteeing pro bono legal assistance, passionately advocate for environmental
protection and against carbon footprints while discussing the nitty-gritty of IP regimes and
international trade agreements with a consistent concern throughout for the future welfare of
the globe.
Our graduates, at the zenith of their skills and acumen after vigorous years of training, are
sought after by top global law firms and have attained leadership roles at eminent social justice
organizations, law firms, NGOs, governmental entities and academic institutions. Jobs at
prestigious international law firms like Allen & Overy, Herbert Smith Freehills and Linklaters
LLP have been secured by our meritorious and assiduous scholars while others have gone on
to work towards partnerships in leading national law firms. A plethora of national and state
administrative and judicial service officers boast of receiving tutelage at this institution which
proudly proclaims its motto as ‘Knowledge is Empowerment’. The accolades are plentiful and
gratifying and yet our students consistently continue to make a mark not just professionally but
also philanthropically by displaying their proclivity for universal empowerment and progress
through the Legal Aid and Awareness Committee (LAAC).
The zeal for acquiring higher education and entering the hallowed precincts of research also
remains unwavering in our young Turks and the Graduating batch of 2022 received offers from
King’s College, Georgetown University, Leiden University, Northwestern University, the
London School of Economics and Political Science, the University of California, Los Angeles,
the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, Vanderbilt University, Warwick
