ACTIS Installation
From April 24, 2023, update your ACTIS 23.3.x to 24.1 to benefit of new features in your orders.
ACTIS can be installed from two sources:
Install24_1_x_00x -Ready-To-Use (with catalogues and WPL prices)

This setup file has all data to process quotation and produce order files
• Take the ReadyToUse EUR if your eBuy currency is EURO
Take the ReadyToUse USD, if your eBuy currency is US Dollar
• Launch the installation.
• At first ACTIS start-up, you will get a pop up to specify the market catalogue to activate
Relaunch again the installation to get again this catalogue activation
To get NET prices in your quotation
• Download from eBuy the WPL discount file or the net prices file of each product,
• Import this file into ACTIS.
Install24_1_x_00x (software only, without catalogues and prices preinstalled):

This setup file is not complete to process quotation and produce order files
• Launch the installation.
• Start ACTIS, there is no catalogue present = you cannot create, nor edit any offers.
To get the Catalogue and Prices,
• download the CTL, the WPL or NET price files of each product from MyPortal (ALE link) and eBuy
In ACTIS application, complete the setup by adding Catalogue and Price
• Delete the old catalogue
• Import the new catalogue dedicated to ACTIS 24.1.
• Import the new price dedicated to ACTIS 24.1
NET Price files

From April 24, 2023, Voice Net prices file dedicated to ACTIS 24.1 will be published on eBuy.
They are updated regularly when items become sellable or phase-out or when price is increased.
Take care to update your ACTIS with latest NET price file. They are specific to one market and can be used as
NET or WPL price.
Information for ACTIS users

ACTIS version can be installed in a new folder or in an existing ACTIS folder (to keep and edit your offers
already created). After upgrading ACTIS 23.3 to 24.1
• All edited offer not ordered in ACTIS 23.3, must be reconfigured in ACTIS 24.1.
• All IP centralisation must be restarted from IPC preparation step.

Information ACTIS administrators
The administrators can prepare a customised ACTIS Database for their end user (Sales, Presale)
They must use the Install24_1_x_00x_softonly.zip file.
They will process the setup, catalogue and price selection …
Once completed, the administrator can deliver ACTIS setup + Admdb.mdb files to their end users.

2 Installation rules and Windows / Excel version
2.1 Windows OS supported and recommended display

Windows OS
ACTIS can run on Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 32/64-bit versions and Windows 11.
Display
The minimum display recommended is 800x600, and the zoom text must remain at 100%.
If you zoom too much the text, parts of ACTIS screens may not be visible.
2.2 Excel support

Use of ACTIS does not need the Excel application.
But you will have to use Microsoft Excel (minimal Excel 2000 version) for these two operations
• Open Excel quotation files generated by ACTIS
• Launch HPS Quotation (Hardware Premium Support)
2.3 New ACTIS installation

For a new installation (without initial offers),
1. Run the setup file (as windows PC administrator)
2. Specify the path where ACTIS must be installed and follow the wizard
3. Fill the ACTIS Country prefix to get allowed reference for your country
4. Fill the ACTIS PC prefix to get unique references for your offers
5. The ACTIS 24.1 catalogue is required for offers configuration
So, if you don’t have installed the ReadyToUse version, import the catalogues and prices files.
Warning:
It is recommended to install ACTIS in a simple path like C: \ ACTIS or D: \ ACTIS.
So, do not install ACTIS in C:\program files
2.4 ACTIS Update

To update ACTIS version,
1. Run the setup file (as windows PC administrator)
2. Specify the path where ACTIS is installed
3. Your offer database is maintained
4. The ACTIS 24.1 catalogue is required for offers configuration
So, if you don’t have installed the ReadyToUse version, import the catalogues and prices files.
Note: for any ACTIS installation problem, please contact ALE technical support.

3 Communication Suite for MLE [OXE]
3.1 [OXE] OpenTouch Suite for MLE Solution is Renamed

OpenTouch Suite for MLE Solution is renamed Communications Suite for MLE
Following migrations are renamed:

First prepare OTBE offer, then migrate the prepared offer to OXE
When migrating OTBE to OXE, new SPS contracts are created based on OXE, 8770, OTMS features.

Take note that your OTBE may have an underestimated contract if it has been initiated by a migration OXE to
OTBE. This contract was calculated by a simple count of users and option migrated (ignoring all OXE options)

Enterprise Com Server > Com Server Licenses > Total User Calculation Mode
Before ACTIS 21.0, the total user was defined by lock #213 and range of users [0 … 50], [51 … 80], …
If you have an offer configured in ACTIS < 21.0, the add-on will replace this lock #213 by lock #418
By default, the new total user is based on previous engine: lock #418 = lock #213. But you can tune this.
Example: if lock #213= 1000, it means you have [501 … 1000] users
• If you keep previous engine, lock #418 = 1000
• If you set declared user during this add-on (or later)
o ACTIS will compute lock #418 in the range [501 … 1000], example 530 (if 530 IP users)
o You can delete users in License Converter TAB to go below 501 users

3.5 [OXE] New Offer on Crystal Architecture
In New Offer if ACT14 or ACT28 are configured ACTIS will display the error:
( -9315) " ALE no longer sells new OXE systems with Crystal ACT14 or ACT28.
3.6 [OXE] Addon on Crystal Architecture
Markets where eco-recycled offer is opened

ACTIS 24.1 configures new eco-recycled references except for INT-IP3 and DECT8.
(A popup is displayed to notify the user that eco-recycled items have been configured).
After uploading the ACTIS file, it’s possible to:
1. Replace some eco-recycled items by items in ALE stock – until stock depletion. If the eco-recycled
reference is not available (not yet opened), eBuy generates an error message.
BSP0010: [Error] The product reference does not exist. Please check the following points.
2. Keep all items configured by ACTIS
3. Delete one or several items from the shopping cart
4. Replace INT-IP3 & DECT8 by eco-recycled item if available
Markets where eco-recycled offer is not opened

ACTIS 24.1 configures INT-IP3 and DECT8.
For other items, a warning message is displayed
(Items no more configured by ACTIS, you can order them in eBuy until stock depletion or use your BP stock)
After uploading the ACTIS file, it’s possible to:
1. Keep all items configured by ACTIS
2. Delete one or several items from the shopping cart
3. Add crystal hardware items references from ALE stock - until stock depletion, or from partner stock.
3.7 [OXE] Force GD3 for new IPMG (addon only)

Central area
If force GD3 (addon only) is selected in OXE >= R100.0 will be configured with GD3
This option is only applicable for add-on
3.8 [OXE] OmniPCX Enterprise Build To Stock (BTS)

Zone Centrale

From ACTIS 24.1, all SMB and MLE OXE hardware is built to be stored (BTS) and placed in our hub. When
creating a new offer, you can specify how you want to deliver this material For MLE OXE, you can set your
default choice:
• Select an order type: no choice made, blocking of the quote until you have made a choice
• With basic pack integration: the CPU is registered in eLP by ALE. We will integrate it with its
license file .swk and its hardware file hardware.mao
• From BP stock: the quote will still contain hardware, but the order file will be split into two: licenses
and contract in the .SAP file and hardware in the optional xpo2 file. To obtain the licenses you will
need to register the CPU in eBuy.
• Without integration : hardware is not integrated. To obtain the licenses you will need to register
the CPU in eBuy
3.9 [OXE] Sets, Bases and accessories

At first the Rack XL is introduced in the peripheral area.
This rack consists of 2 parts of 7 slots and supports 2 * 6 FXS 32 analog port cards.

Quotation > Button “Promotional Codes”
In eBuy, you can apply a promocode to an order. The promocode checks the content of the order and applies
some discounts to some items. You can apply in ACTIS this promotional code.
Contact you ALE commercial representative (CSM) to get the XML file of the discount.
In ACTIS, the menu Management > Promotions, import this XML file.
When performing the quotation, click on Promotional Codes button and select the corresponding discount.
Note: the quotation must be done in WPL. ACTIS applies some discounts to some items instead of applying
the WPL category discount.
Info: XML Promocode files are supplied by Sales Channel Manager on the form of XML file. If you have
promocode generated for ACTIS 23.3, they still working in ACTIS 24.1 provided the expiration date is not
reached

8.2 [TOOL] Swkshow

Swkshow can present the content of any MLE license files (OXE, 8770, OTMS…)
The tool is in ACTIS folder and can be associated to an ACTIS Tool menu.
The option Export to CSV saves the displayed list of licenses into an external CSV file.
8.3 [TOOL] Logistic fees

Following the eFlash L024 Logistic fees, modify the method of calculating logistic cost estimate
In Menu Management > Business Partner
• If you are still in fees based on NET price,
Keep Logistic fees estimation based on a percentage of hardware discounted price.
• If you have kept fees based on WPL price,
Change the choice to Logistic fees estimation based on percentage of hardware WPL price,
• Modify the percentage of the hardware price if needed.
8.4 [TOOL] Hardware Support quotations – HPS

This HPS tool is no longer provided by ALE.
8.5 [TOOL] ALE Commercial Word Proposal - ACP 6.1

This ACP tool based on Word template generate a word description of ALE Solution and the ACTIS quotation
Download this tool from the business portal and install it on ACTIS folder
Take care to download ACP setup in the same language as the one you use to launch ACTIS
The last ACP version 6.1 was built for OXO Connect R2.x evolution
There is no update planned at current time for later version.
8.6 [TOOL] Contract download in add-on

For all your OXE or OTBE offers, you can download the contract file
• during the add-on creation
• on contract detail screen (in the need of the offer, on Service tab > SPS page)
By default, this option is disabled

Activate such options via the menu Option > Others > Contract Tab.
There are 2 modes: ALE Web portal or Directory. We recommend the use of Web Portal for automated
operation.

ALE Web portal: to retrieve contract file from ALE
Requirement to use ALE Web Portal for contract. You need
• A MyPortal login with access to ALE contract file in eBuy.

ACTIS will ask you to confirm the CSV Contract file download
you must give your password at this step
4. ACTIS will connect to eBuy and get the CPU dedicated contract file.
5. In offer needs, tab Services > Software support service > Contracts button, you can restart an
update of the contract file.
Directory: to retrieve contract file from a shared folder in your company

Requirement: you need to retrieve contract from eBuy and place them in a directory.
In Menu Option > Others > Contract Tab,

1. Indicate the directory containing the contract file of all your OXE / OTBE CPUs.
2. Ensure you place the contract file in such directory.
3. Perform Add-on,
ACTIS will ask you to confirm the CSV Contract file download
you can change the folder at this step
4. ACTIS will import the last CSV file from the confirmed folder
only the contract related to this CPU is imported.
5. In the offer needs, tab Services > Software support service > Contracts button, you can restart an
update of the contract file.
8.7 [TOOL] Software Orchestration Tool

This tool available on MyPortal allows:
• Sizing of the OpenTouch Virtual Machine with customer needs
• Validate the physical or virtual OpenTouch with the customer needs
8.8 [OUTIL] Cloud Connect

When an ACTIS config is ordered in eBuy, it is now possible to push the MAO (ops file) files on the OXE
(Condition: OXE in R100.0 and Cloud Connected).
These files deposited by Cloud Connect can be retrieved via Cloud Connect and imported into ACTIS for
the next addon.
8.9 [TOOL] ACTIS Excel Quotation

The ACTIS Excel proposal is modified (only for offers (new business and addition) with a multi-year SPS)
to distinguish the total amount payable from the amount paid in the first year.
