1. Company History
Maya Security was founded by Gregory Rankin and Victor Muthu in 2012.
Both Directors had gained invaluable experience over the years, having
worked for large corporate firms in the security and cleaning industry who
specialized in Commercial, Industrial, Retail and Residential safety and
security services. Maya Security is focused on building a team of loyal and
trustworthy employees, nurturing his passion for providing a customized
service to their clients. Together with Gregory and Victors years’ experience
and passion for the industry to serve and provide tailor safety and security
needs. May Security has risen to new height providing quality services
throughout Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
Maya Security employs a team of security officers who are passionate about
their work and take pride in what they do. Our entire workforce is
experienced, trained, motivated and reliable.

premises in the industrial, commercial and retail sectors.
Maya Security also provides parking assistants at shopping centres where

1. Recruitment & Training
Officer training includes fire, PR and access control skills. Guard uniforms are not
gender, site and rank specific. All on-site training is done by management where job
specific site instructions are formulated including: incident handling procedures,
contingency evacuation procedures and fire and risk management solutions.
Daily inspections, parades and operations debriefings are handled by the
operations division. Management relations and reporting is an integral part of our
guarding service. Our guards are incentivized to use our whistle blowing hotline.
We also have performance initiatives in place and we reward our staff for
successful arrests.
Constant on the job training with all our officers keeping them up to date and ready
for any situation that they may face on a daily basis.

All our security officers are equipped with the following:

1x Pepper spray
1x handcuffs
1x Site Cell phone
1x radio (if required)
1x Panic system (Armed Response)
1x Patrol system
1x OB book
1x Access Register (if required)
We know each property and client has different needs, therefore we design our equipment
list as per the sites requirements. The above list is our standard equipment list.
