Sub: -TSECET–2022 Engineering Admissions (Lateral Entry) –Communication

of Guidelines to fill the left over vacancies during Institutional Spot
Admissions - Regarding.

The Principals of the Private Engineering Colleges in the State are well aware that
the final phase of web allotments for admission into lateral entry of Diploma Holders in
Engineering colleges have been completed and the candidates were instructed to
report at the respective allotted college latest by 10-10-2022.The following guidelines
are issued to the Principals to enable them to fill the vacancies during the institutional
spot admissions. Principals are requested to adhere to the time schedule and
guidelines prescribed here under.

1. The Principals are requested to thoroughly verify the original certificates of

the candidate and collect one set of Xerox copyof the certificates and
original Transfer Certificate (TC).

2. List of allotted candidates and vacancy position after conclusion of the web
counselling are placed in the website.

3. Institutional spot admissions are permitted for those institutions which are
under Convenor TSECET -2021 Admissions SW-I counselling for the Academic
Year 2021-22.

4. Candidates have been asked to report at the respective colleges on or

before 10-10-2022 without fail. The left over vacancies branch wise at the
end of final phase allotments will be placed in website https://tsecetd.nic.in.
You are permitted to fill these vacancies along with not reported/
cancellations done through online. Further you are also permitted to fill the
left over Convenor vacancies of last year. The branch wise left over
Convenor vacancies of last year will be updated in the website on 13-10-
2022.

5. EWS Quota vacant (unfilled/not reported/cancelled) seats are not permitted

to fill under institutional spot admissions.

6. Principal of the colleges shall verify the list of candidates allotted to the
respective institutions in final phase of counselling and shall not continue
any candidate who are not present in the current list of
allotments.They shall be directed to report at the newlyallotted Institution
immediately i.e., on or before 10-10-2022. The Principal will be held
responsible for any lapse in this regard.

7. All the Principals are hereby informed to update the joining details of the
candidates on or before12-10-2022 before arriving at the final vacancies to
be considered for Spot Admissions.

8. No candidate shall be admitted in Spot Admissions without verification of

original certificates.

9. The Principals shall inform the candidates that Fee Reimbursement

is not applicable to the candidates admitted Under Institutional
Spot Admissions.

10. Scrupulously follow the guidelines mentioned below while admitting the
candidates.

I. Issue a Notification in a Daily Newspaper indicating the date of Spot Admissions.

II. Eligibility Criteria:

a. Candidates shall not be allowed for Spot Admission without verification of

original certificates.
b. The vacancies are to be filled first with those qualified in TSECET-2022 and
possessing 44.5% and above (for OC) and 39.5% and above for (BC/SC/ST)
in the relevant Diploma/B.Sc. Examination.

c. If the vacancies are still left, Candidates who have passed Diploma/B.Sc.
Examination with 44.5 % and above (OC), 39.5% and above (BC/SC/ST) are
to be considered.
d. Follow the conversion of CGPA into percentage as mentioned below.
Percentage of marks = (CGPA – 0.5)*10

e. Candidates who satisfy the definition of Local/Non-Local shall alone be

granted admission.
f. Candidates whose diploma is from Other State but either of the parents
resided for a period of 10 years in Telangana /A.P State are eligible for Spot
Admissions. In such case the Parent Residence certificate issued by
competent authority for a period of 10 years shall be produced.
g. Candidates possessing Diploma Certificates other than those issued by the
State Board of Technical Education, Telangana /A.P shall be asked to get the
equivalency certificate from Telangana SBTET, Hyderabad before granting
admission.
h. Eligibility master in the annexure enclosed shall be followed for candidates
qualified in TSECET.

i. Candidates who have passed the Three year B.Sc Degree Examination with
Mathematics as one of the subject in the group combination from a
recognized University in the State or its equivalent examination are eligible
for entry into the relevant courses of Engineering as per G.O. in vogue. All
Diploma Holders are to be considered first for available vacancies and
thereafter B.Sc passed candidates for left over vacancies in the Institutional
Spot admission.
III. Certificates to be Verified:

a. Diploma/B.Sc. Original.
b. Memorandum of Marks for duration of Diploma Course.
c. Study Certificate.
d. Residence Certificate, if required.
e. TSECET- 2022 Rank Card, if qualified.
f. TSECET -2022 Hall Ticket, if qualified.
g. Caste Certificate, if applicable.

IV. The following are the details of Fee to be paid (including Telangana Green Fund)
by the candidates admitted under institutional spot Admissions.
(A) TSECET-2022 Qualified Candidates : Rs. 1300/-
(B) TSECET-2022 Not Qualified Candidates : Rs. 2100/-
Principals shall make sure of the eligibility criteria prescribed for admission
before granting admission to the candidates.

UPLOADING SPOT ADMISSIONS DETAILS OF CANDIDATES.

 The website https://tsecetd.nic.in will be available on 16-10-2022 for Spot

Admission activity.

 Ascertain the vacancies available and enter the details of spot admitted
candidates.

 Take the print out of the details entered. Verify thoroughly for candidates
name, father name, category, SSC Hall Ticket, TSECET-2022 Rank if any,
branch of admission and other details. Make necessary modification if required
and save the details. No further modifications are allowed after this.

 Take final printout of list of candidates and shall enclose the following hard
copies as per the S. No in the list.

SEQUENCE OF DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED

 Receipt containing the details of online payment made through website for an
amount as mentioned in the spot admissions guidelines. Write college name with
full address and counselling code on back side of the Receipt containing the
details of online payment made.

 Covering letter addressed to the Convenor, TSECET-2022 Admissions,

Sankethika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad-500028. The covering letter
shall contain the following details.

 Receipt containing the details of online payment made through

 Contact person name (Looking after admissions) with mobile no:
 Details of spot admissions :

 Number of candidates qualified in TSECET :

 Number of candidates not qualified in TSECET :

 Newspaper copy of notification for conducting spot admissions.

 Certification by the Principal that the admissions made are as per the guidelines
laid down in respect of Local and Non-Local definition mentioned in presidential
order.
 The following certificates (Xerox copies) of the candidates admitted under spot
admissions.

 TSECET-2022 Rank Card (for qualified candidates)

 S.S.C or its equivalent marks memo
 Diploma/B.Sc or its equivalent marks memos
 Study Certificate (from VII to Diploma/ B.Sc)
 Caste certificate, if applicable

All the above certificates shall be attested by the Principal concerned with seal.

 Ratification of the candidates whose certificates are submitted along with the
above list will be considered and subsequent submission of certificates after due
date will not be entertained.

NOTE: These guidelines are not applicable for University Engineering /

Pharmacy colleges and Self Financed programmes of Universities.
