Q1 – Did you use to race go karts when you were younger?

A1 – No I used to play soccer instead. I liked more.

Q2 – Did you use to cook breakfast for you parents on their birthday?

A2 – Yes I used to cook pancakes for them. Kitchen used to be a mess.

Q3 – Did you use to ride horses on the ranch?

A3 – No I didn’t. I used to feed the chickens when I was there.

Q4 – Did you use to water the plans when you were working on the greenhouse.

A4 – Yes, I used to do it. What a remarkable memory.

Q5 – When did you use to wash the car?

A5 – I used to wash it on Sundays while I was listening music.


Q6 – Did you use to go shopping when you were in the US?

A6 – Yes I used to go shopping to the mall.

Q7 – Where did you use to swim on vacations?

A7 – I used to swim on the beach. I love the waves.

Q8 – Did you use to make your bed when you woke up?

A8 – Yes I used to do it before anything else.

Q9 – Did you use to visit your Grandparents at their hometown?

A9 – No I didn’t use to visit them; I visited my cousins here instead.

Q10 – How much weight did you lift when you were on the gym?

A10 – I used to lift around 50kg. I was strong.

Exercise 2

Analyze each image, then observe the clue adjective, and Write down three sentences for
each image, use the past simple tenses, see the example to guide you through.

CLUE : EXPENSIVE

Sentence 1 (adjective/clue).- The ball was expensive

Sentence 2 (comparative).- The doll was more expensive than the ball Example

Sentence 3 (superlative).- The bicycle was the most expensive

Sentence 1.- --- Maggie was angry with her sister, because she broke her mobile
phone.

Sentence 2.- --- Eddie (Maggie’s dad) was angrier than Maggie with Sara because
she broke the phone, and he has not paid yet.

Sentence 3.- --- Sony (Maggie’s mom) was the angriest of the family because she
had previously punished that mobile.

as well as its superlative, to compare three things or
three people.

2. (comparative) --- Monterrey is better team than

3. (superlative) --- Leon is the best soccer team in liga MX.

Now compare something bad.

1. (bad) --- Morelia has bad traffic on weekdays.


2. (comparative) --- Monterrey has worse traffic than Morelia on weekdays.
3. (superlative) --- CDMX has the worst traffic on weekdays.
