Task 1:

Answer:
The bar charts give information about the result of a survey conducted to find out whom people usually
spend time with. There are two group of people aged 18 – 30, one is single and the other is couple,
interviewed in the survey. (There are two groups of people aged 18 – 30, one is singles and the other is
couples).

Overall, it is clear that most spend time with their family, apart from single men. Whereas, being alone is
the least common. Also noticeable is that in terms of married people, the gap between the amount of time
spent with partners or children and the two others is larger than that in the single group.
Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that couples aged 18 – 30 are mostly with their family
whenever they are free. Obviously, the amount of that nearly triples the volume of time spent alone, 71%
and 53% corresponding to couples with and without children. Moreover, couples with children see a
higher proportion of meeting friends, at 31%, roughly doubles the same area among couples without
children. For single men and women, there is more private atmosphere than the opposite group, 25% and
23% respectively. Among men, most of their time spent with peers, relatively close to the amount spent
with family among women.(Bài này không OK, con gái)

Task 2:
Answer:
In today’s world, modern people make themselves different from their previous generations by using the
latest technology, including the Internet. The general view has been that in developed nations, so
significant the Internet is that the citizens can not (cannot)live normally without it. From my point of view
, I couldn’t agree more with this.
First and foremost, it is undeniable that the Internet brings about a wide variety of benefits. Thanks to it,
we can keep in touch with others and keep ourselves updated to the last news. For instance, people
staying at home can see and talk to others in other countries or even continents without travelling
thousands of miles. Furthermore, they can also know what is happening around the world. The Internet
meets the bare necessities of human beings and, needless to say, nothing is replaceable.
Second, a lot of world-class important systems are generated based on this global connection, especially
in developed areas. If the Internet disappears, there will be no innovative developments which we all see
these days. There will be no advanced or high-quality service like the social platforms, for example,
which most people access to everyday. It gives us a lot of convenience to do everything, like looking for a
suitable job online. As a result, a life without it is completely impossible.
Last but not least, the more modern the society is, the more people rely on technology. We, individuals of
the 21st century, are so accustomed to using the Internet. Apparently, it exists everywhere around us, from
study to entertainment and most of our daily activities, from children to elderly people, all are familiar to
using it for different purposes. Once it is no longer on this life, everything will turn back to the first
stages. An example is that sending a letter could take a few months in the past, representing to a few
seconds nowadays.
In conclusion, I would like to put the emphasize on the necessity of the Internet and believe that people
living in developed regions can not imagine a life without it. The Internet has become part of our life, as
some reasons I mentioned above.(Bài này Good, con gái)

Task 3:
Answer:
We are now living in such a globalized world where commercial activities are so dominant that selling
and buying goods can be seen at every aspect of daily life. As society becomes more modern, people have
to struggle to earn a living so as to ensure a high standard of life. As a result, there has been a view that
we are living in a consumer life, where making money and buying things are matters of concern. This
essay will discuss both sides, benefits and drawbacks of this problem.
The biggest advantage of living in a consumer society is that it promotes the economic’s
(economic )development. It is deniable that money is essential for all people to purchase things for
themselves or their family. To gain money, there is no way but trying our best to work from day to day.
The harder people work, the greater the productivity will be and that leads to innovation in either
appearance or quality of the products. Furthermore, more opportunities of employment can also be seen
as there are a wider range of demands required by people nowadays. The unemployment rate therefore
decreases, which addresses some most common issues that many countries have to deal with nowadays.
Take the United States for example, one of the nations which have the highest GDP index, the citizens
living here all have high quality of life since the commercial activity is developing significantly. Most
Americans are afford to buy everything they want to, even though the goods here is quite expensive,
when compared to other regions using different currencies.
Having said that we can be benefit from living in such a life, there are also some disadvantages. The most
obvious one is the gap between developed and developing countries, or citizens in different parts in
particular. The main trend of the world nowadays is globalization and modernization, which accounts for
the fact that the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. Because they have not obtained such a
good education in the past, their life nowadays are influenced severely as they can not meet any
requirements to apply for high-paid occupations. Consequently, the governments have to face up to a
large number of social matters which are very difficult to solve. For instance, in Africa, the crime
commitment rate is becoming higher and higher, as people can not afford their life and end up commiting
a crime like stealing, robbering, etc. . Not only that, but there are also a lot of other issues related to this
“consumer life”, which causes the national economy laid behind.
In conclusion, everything has two sides and so does this problems. Besides giving chances of jobs,
encourage the quality of life, living in a consumer society also brings about drawbacks that I have argued
above.(bài này good)
