1. Verify that the relay is not damaged or defective. OK
2. Verify that the nameplate details are correct in accordance with data sheet and OK
approved project drawings.
3. Verify that the relay is clean and free from grease and moisture. OK
4. For electromechanical relays, verify that glass cover, gaskets, spring, contacts NA
etc. are all intact and free from damage.
5. Verify that the relay is securely mounted and protected against mis-operation OK
caused by vibration, shock etc.
