There are two weeks of travel in a van with two Lions supervisors and ten campers. The South an North tips are each
week, at the beginning of camp and the last week after the hosting program. Campers will visit important historical
cultural sites throughout the state to include hiking the Grand Canyon, Jeep trip through the mountains around Pres
Monument Valley, Tombstone, Bisbee, and Nogales. Our campers will have activities with other youth groups, Leos

SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES DURING THE CAMP : We would be honored to make you discover Vendée, our region locate
the coast of the Atlantic Sea, in the west part of France. Enjoy Vendée’s rich history, its unique culture and diversity
landscapes. Located by the sea, you will have the opportunity to relax on one of the most beautiful beaches of Franc
forth aboard traditional sailing boats in Les Sables d’Olonne. Cycle your way across l’Île-d’Yeu, gem of the Atlantic, r
through the Marais Poitevin nicknamed the green Venice. We will take you back in time with a tour in the world-
renowned Puy du Fou themed park. You will relive France’s history thanks to spectacles and attractions. To top it off

Sharing your cultures, you will visit the southern regions of Italy (Campania, Basilicata and
Calabria) in an amazing travel among nature, history, and art. In a mix of cultural and
recreational activities, each participant will taste the Italian way of life, as traditional musics
and dances, historical folklore, local gastronomy. The activities will be mixed with reflections
on the themes of the Camp: the EU Chart of fundamental rights and the importance of
solidarity and mutual comprehension. A final evening with individual contributes of all the
young guests will close the Camp experience.
Wood carving and icon-painting

Indoor activities include workshops in natural sciences, ecology and astronomical observations.
Together with the trainers, participants will build a great part of the visual aids from available and waste materials, t
their individual preferences into consideration.
Outdoor activities include bird watching, historical hunts, nature exploration and an Astro party- telescope observati
of visible planets, nebulae and galaxies.
Laser astroshow of the constellations and their myths and legends.
Participants will go hiking or cycling to nearby sights for these activities.
Visit to art cities and villages (the main are Venice, Ravenna, Florence, Rome). Visit to Republic of San Marino. Excur
in the parks in the area, days at the seaside of the Adriatic Sea. Sports activities.
