CHRIS : In the world where knowledge is a powerful tool and the brain has been our

source of progress, there is a great need for some respite to calm the nerves for us to
attain our full potentials yet again.

JASMINE: As such, there is a dire need to rest our weary minds and allow our pressured
hearts to speak as we welcome you to this post- pandemic Seniors Prom Night bearing
the theme, “Fostering Friendship and Youth Development through an Evening of
Charm, Fascination, and Talent”.

CHRIS: Most people say that high school life is a roller coaster ride. It is the period of
exploring the unknown, a time of shaping one’s true identity, and the stage of building
lasting bonds and friendships. Tonight, another milestone is about to unfold as our dear
learners come of age ang get to be inducted as men and women of the society.

JASMINE: The word prom is short for promenade or the grand marching beginning to
an immensely important social event. This is your chance our dear students to undergo
transition and conduct yourselves not as kids, but as ladies and gentlemen.

CHRIS: Brace yourselves for a night of Magic and a night to remember!

JASMINE: And without further ado, to kick off our celebration, let is roll out the red
carpet for the grand entrance of our budding ladies and gentlemen as they take their
walk of fame.

CHRIS: Ladies and gentlemen, the entrance of the participants, faculty, and
administration.

JASMINE: Presenting grade 11 Joy

CHRIS: This time we have grade 11 Optimistic

JASMINE: Now we have grade 11 Love

CHRIS: Next in line, grade 11 Peace

JASMINE: Finally, grade 11 Patience

CHRIS: This time, please welcome grade 12 Goodness

JASMINE: On deck, grade 12 Kindness

CHRIS: We now welcome grade 12 Gentleness

JASMINE: Now we have grade 12 Faithfulness

CHRIS: And to complete the roster, please welcome grade 12 Friendliness

JASMINE: This time around please welcome with a resounding applause the
administration, faculty, and staff of Pangalangan National High School led by our school
principal, Dr. Lyndon F. Garcia.

CHRIS: Before we proceed any further, let me just say that you look gorgeous tonight
Ma’am.

JASMINE: Well, I did prepare because I know that our students have prepared for this
night as well. If I may just return the favor, you also look stunning sir.

CHRIS: Thank you ma’am. Actually, there are more than a hundred reasons for getting
dressed and groovy tonight.

JASMINE: I agree sir because today is one of the highlights of high school life in the
pantheon of social grace and gregariousness,

CHRIS: And so without any further ado, to formally commence this event, please rise
and feel a moment of solemnity for our invocation to be followed immediately by the
signing of the National Anthem.

JASMINE: You may now be seated. And to further set the mood tonight, let us all
welcome our very own Master Teacher and Senior High School Coordinator, Dr. Stenili
B. Samson for the opening remarks. Let us give her a resounding round of applause.

CHRIS: Thank you very much madam for your inspiring message to all the attendees
tonight. Of course, this event shall be incomplete without the soothing message of the
father of Pangalangan National High School. Ladies and gentlemen, render your ears as
Dr. Lyndon F. Garcia, our school principal, inspires our learners with words of wisdom.
A round of applause please.

JASMINE: This time around, we shall listen to more words of wisdom coming from our
esteemed guest of honor and speaker.
May I then call in Madam Dianne Catungal, a SHS teacher, to do the honor and
pleasure of introducing our guest of honor and speaker. How about giving a round of
applause.
CHRIS: Thank you very much Ma’am Daphne for your kind words. May your words of
enlightenment be the moving spirit as our learners enjoy the festivities tonight. Allow
me then to read the text of the certificate of appreciation. ____________. May we
request our school principal to lead the awarding of the certificate to our dear guest of
honor and speaker.

JASMINE: We also invite our dear department heads and our senior high school
coordinator to join our principal for the awarding of the certificate.

CHRIS: Once again, thank you ma’am.

JASMINE: Sir, I heard that there will also be awards for the learners tonight.

CHRIS: Yes ma’am, you are absolutely correct. Special recognition and distinction are in
store for the attendees who exhibit exemplar performance tonight.

JASMINE: So, I guess all of you should remain poised and elegant all through out.

CHRIS: Indeed, because who knows, you might be the King and Queen of the night

JASMINE: The star of the night

CHRIS: The head turner of the night

JASMINE: The face of the night

CHRIS: The king and queen of the dance floor

JASMINE: Darling of the night

CHRIS: And the couple of the night, but of course with restrictions. But before anything
else, do you want to be serenaded tonight? (repeat) To break the monotony, ladies and
gentlemen, please welcome Sir Faustino Licuanan and Madam Thelma Aquino for their
special song number. How about giving them a resounding applause.

JASMINE: That truly sets the mood tonight. Another warm round of applause please.
Their performance proves that teachers are multitalented individuals. Thank you very
much sir and madam. At this juncture, please welcome one of the hardworking public
servants of the land. Ladies and gentlemen, honorable barangay captain Edilberto F.
Pamintuan.
CHRIS: We are deeply thankful sir for your presence here tonight, and thank you for
your kind words. We know that you are already excited to showcase your dance moves
but you have to wait a little more. So to set the mood for your social dance later on,
feast your eyes first on the special dance number prepared to us by Team Legacy. Let
us give them a warm round of applause.

JASMINE: Wow! What an overwhelming work of art, WOW! So that set the stage for
you our dear learners. To keep the ball rolling, as most people say, ladies and
gentlemen please welcome our promenaders as they regale us with their performances.

CHRIS: Please welcome our first performer, the students of the General Academic
Strand. A round of applause please.

JASMINE: Thank you very much for your note-worthy performance. This time, let us
see Technical Vocational and Livelihood students take the center stage with their
performance. Let us give them a warm round of applause.

CHRIS: Another remarkable performance indeed. We still have more performances. This
time, let us greet the students of Humanities and Social Science with a warm round of
applause as they too take the center stage.

JASMINE: Thank you very much for your remarkable performances. You truly took the
extra mile in ensuring that this night is truly special for all of you. Finally, the moment
you have been waiting for- the announcement of the winners.

CHRIS: Who do you think will bring home the coveted awards? We’ll soon find out. Now
as we announce the results, we request the winners to please come up on stage for the
awarding of the sash.

(ADLIB- wait for instruction: people to award to sash and whatever)

CHRIS: And that is a wrap! Congratulations to all the winners. We now request the
winners to please lead the royal dance.

(AFTER A WHILE)
JASMINE: Everyone, you may now join the royalties on the dance floor. It is time for
our dance for all! Gentlemen, you may now invite the ladies for the dance.
