Hi, Dad.
My journey through the Caribbean has begun, so we head to Tolu, a nice little town not so
touristy. From there, we had been told, the boats left for Isla Múcura.

After sleeping in Tolú, the next day I put on my Hawaiian shirt, my blue shorts, my
sunglasses, my black cap and my sandals and my girl put on that aquamarine swimsuit that I
gave her for her birthday and her favorite brown hat , I packed what we would need in my
backpack and we left in the morning with a local agency with the idea of simply spending
a day in Múcura. We loved the place, it is simply magical and paradisaical, for me the best
of San Bernardo Island, we also went to the fishing village and its surroundings, so we
quickly wanted to stay longer!

In the little fishing village we met Juan who told us that he had a small inn and that it had
no name or label. We asked if we could come back the next day to sleep there and we did.

So we went back the next day, again by boat, also with an agency, but this time the trip
included a stop at Santa Cruz del Islote, the island reputed to be the most populated in the
world. A stop that we consider unnecessary and uninteresting.

Finally, we arrive at Isla Múcura to spend two fantastic days in this incredible place! A
charming path leads us to the fishing village. And there is another world where you live
quietly. A perfect opportunity to get to know the life of the fishermen and see the children
play, but I really wanted to go see that famous phosphorescent plankton that they had told
me about while there! Juan Guillermo, our friendly and polite guide, hails a tall, green-eyed
young fisherman named Pedro who was wearing a long-sleeved black Aerosmith sweater and
we leave with him as night falls. After a stop at San Islote to refuel, we headed towards a
mangrove swamp located on the side of Tintipan Island! and there, totally excited, we are
absolutely alone. It was an absolutely magical moment to be alone in the water surrounded
by these plankton that light up with every movement. an unforgettable experience!
