TYPES OF ISSUES -
1. Social Issue – A situation that has a negative impact on the
personal or social lives of individuals, as well as the well-
being of communities or larger groups within a society, and
about which there is usually public disagreement as to its
nature, causes, or solution. Eg of Social Issue – Poverty,
Inequality, Crime, Lack of Access to HealthCare,
Unemployment, Inadequate Housing, Enviromental
Degradation, Lack of Access to Education, Corruption
2. Moral Issue – It is one that must be resolved not only by
considering technical aspects but also by keeping moral
values in mind. To be more specific, think about the
definition in general. Eg of Moral Issue – Graft, Bribery,
Nepotism, Patronage are all examples of corruption. Abuse
of children, employees, and married couples ( wife &
husband )
3. Economic Issue – Refers to any such problem in the
economy that is concerned with the production of goods and
services to satisfy the unlimited wants of the economy
through the utilization of scarce resources. Eg of Economic
Issue ; Budget allocation & Human Resource Allocation

CONFLICT –
Is a literary device that depicts a struggle between two opposing
forces, conflict essential in any story because it creates tension
and propels the plot forward. It frequently used in narratives to
reveal a deeper meaning while highlighting characters’
motivations, values and flaws.

• Character Vs Self – This is an internal conflict, which means


that the opposition the character faces is internal. This can
what the moral or ‘right’ choice is, as well as mental health
issues. All other types of conflict are external, which means
that a character encounters an outside force that causes
conflict.
• Character Vs Character – This is a common type of
conflict in which one character’s needs or desires clash
with those of another.
• Character Vs Nature – In a nature conflict, a character
is pitted against nature. This can refer to the weather
nature, or a natural disaster.
• Character Vs Supernatural – By putting characters
against supernatural phenomena such as ghosts, gods,
or monsters, the stakes of a conflict are raised by
creating an unequal playing field
• Character Vs Technology – In this instance, a character
is at odds with technology, the character is usually
faced with a battle against technology that has become
too powerful, or being used by another force or evil.
• Character Vs Society – A conflict occurs in literature
when the protagonist is pitted against society, the
government, or a cultural tradition or societal norm of
some kind. Characters may be motivated to act against
their society by a desire for happiness, freedom, justice,
or love, as well as a need to survive.
