Calatagan Solar Farm
Location: Sitio Calumpang, Paraiso,, Calatagan,
4215 Batangas
The largest solar power plant in the
Philippines so far. It covers 160 hectares
and provides electricity to the western part
of Batangas, which is a city in the country
of Batangas.
The Calatagan Solar Farm is a 63.3 MW
solar power plant in Calatagan, Batangas
owned by Solar Philippines. It was reported
that the groundbreaking for the solar
facility was done as early as March 2015.
Bangui Bay Wind Farm
Location: Bangui, Ilocos Norte
There are a lot of benefits to building the
Bangui Bay Wind Farm, like having a lot of
renewable energy and a lot of people
coming to visit.
The wind farm uses 20 units of 70-meter
(230 ft) high Vestas V82 1.65 MW wind
turbines, arranged in a single row
stretching along a 9-kilometer (5.6 mi)
shoreline off Bangui Bay, facing the West
Philippine Sea.
Magat Hydroelectric Powerplant
Location: Magat Dam, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao
The Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant is
one of the largest hydro facilities in Luzon,
with a maximum output of 388 megawatts
(MW). It draws water from the Magat river
through the multi-purpose Magat dam. The
national government began construction of
the plant in February 1980 and completed
the commissioning in Dec 1983.
The construction and appurtenant
structures was authorized by Presidential
Decree No/ 693 signed on May 7, 1975 by
then President Ferdinand E. Marcos.
Bataan Nuclear Powerplant
Location: J8H7+VFR, Morong, Bataan
Construction began in July 1976, and it was
finished in 1984 at a cost of $1.9 billion, when
it was finished. However, because of money
problems and safety concerns about
earthquakes, the plant was never filled with
fuel or used.
In response to the 1973 oil crisis, the
Ferdinand Marcos administration decided to
build a nuclear plant comprising two 600
MWe units. By the time the contract was
signed in February 1976, it was for a single
621 MWe Westinghouse unit at Napot Point
in Bataan.
Nasulo Geothermal Powerplant

Location: 75J3+375, Valencia, Negros Oriental

In 2008, when the plant is fully operational, it
is expected to sell about 150 GWh of power
and cut about 88,000 tons of CO2 each year.
The Nasulo geothermal plant was constructed
using equipment from EDC's geothermal
power plant in Negros Occidental. It will
boost the portfolio of power assets of EDC
and its subsidiaries in Southern Negros that
includes the 112.5MW Palinpinon I and 80MW
Palinpinon II geothermal plants of Green Core
Geothermal Inc.
