Financial Analytics
Financial Analytical techniques can help us accurately forecast ‘what if’ scenarios and design
realistic forecasts, which leads to successful business decisions.

Provide the ability to think critically and analyse complex and voluminous financial data

• Develop the skills that are required to analyse real-life proposals for financial investment in a
meaningful manner
Financial Derivatives and Risk
Management
The course would introduce different types of financial risks that an organisation is exposed to
and various risk management techniques used to manage such risks, with the main emphasis on
derivatives as one of the risk management techniques.

The course would enhance the conceptual knowledge of derivatives such as forwards, futures,
options and swaps.
Financial Statement Analysis
The course also demonstrates the application of tools, techniques, and skills required to amylase
the firm's financial performance.

Topics covered in the course include assets and liabilities sides of the balance sheet, inter-
corporate investments, mergers and acquisitions, cash flow analysis, deferred taxes, leases off
the balance sheet debts, foreign currency transactions, ratio analysis, EVA and window dressing.
Fundamentals of FINTECH
The FinTech disruptions are visible in payments, online lending, financial markets, and insurance.
The advances in computational technologies, infrastructure, and data availability provide
promising opportunities to transform the financial sector in the future.

This course helps the students to enhance their conceptual knowledge about FINTECH disruptions
and business opportunities.
Global Capital Markets
Understanding the workings and dynamics of the global capital market is now essential for any
finance executive.

The course would enhance the student’s conceptual understanding of global markets,
classification based on asset classes and the various intermediaries, and innovative products.
The course would enhance the student’s critical thinking concerning developing investment
strategies that would achieve their objectives and enable them to become leaders in global
investments.
International Finance & Trade
1.Helps to understand how external sector movements translate to changes in the domestic
economy.

2. Global currency market movements and establish if any changes in these markets affect his
organization.

3.Demonstrate the financial implications of the rapid integration of national economies


worldwide through trade, financial flows and technology spillovers upon the firm’s cross-border

Duration, Convexity and Immunization; Efficient Market Hypothesis and Research Report Writing.
Wealth Management
The course enhances the students’ critical thinking and financial advisory skills. It also equips the
students to set up practice as Wealth Managers for the personal financial planning of clients.
Topics covered in the course include the introduction to the wealth management industry,
financial mathematics – risk and return; financial planning, tax planning and management, client
profiling; banking products, Government securities; basics of stock market investments, equity
and debt instruments, mutual funds, derivative Instruments, commodities, venture capital funds,
hedge funds and angel investors, land and real estate; insurance planning and management,
retirement planning and management, succession/estate planning; asset allocation strategies,
portfolio management and evaluation.

The course is designed to…
Provide a deep-dive into digital payments, lending,
challenges between fintech and incumbent financial
institutions, business applications and hands-on illustrations of
artificial intelligence in fintech sector.
Help the students to identify a gap in existing businesses in
the financial sector, define the problem statement, apply the
learnings from fintech and propose a solution.
Behavioural Finance
1. Internalize heuristics and biases that can cause irrational financial decisions

2. Understand the effects of behavioral factors in financial markets

2) Bring awareness among the students about the tools one should be equipped with for
analyzing the fund based and fee based financial services like Leasing

apart from the disintermediation that the banks do;
International Banking
The course provides an idea about the routine activities of a foreign exchange-designated bank
branch.

It covers non-resident accounts, exchange rate determination for various types of foreign
exchange transactions, exchange and trade control in India, trade finance, investment
opportunities in India etc.

It provides students knowledge and skills so they can handle matters related to trade credit as an
entrepreneur and intrapreneur.

Mergers & Acquisitions
The objectives of this course are two-fold. First, the course is intended to provide a comprehensive
background in the strategic, economic, financial and organizational aspects of mergers,
acquisitions and divestments. Secondly, the course will seek to provide a practical framework for
managerial decision making in the context of acquisition activities, (for example, the
determination of exchange ratios between the common stocks of the acquired and acquiring
companies).
Portfolio Management and Mutual
Funds
Topics covered in the course examines the theoretical basis and practical approach to the
management of stocks and fixed income investment portfolios, which can be applied to both
personal as well as professionally managed funds like Mutual Funds. A distinctive feature of the
course is the extensive use of excel simulations to demonstrate the portfolio optimization process
and discussion of various stocks and fixed income investment portfolios strategies.

A brief list of topics includes Portfolio analysis, Portfolio diversification, Portfolio optimization
suing Markowitz and Sharpe’s method, Lintner’s method of short sales, Asset pricing, Equity
portfolio management strategies, portfolio revision, Evaluation of portfolio performance, Bond
portfolio management strategies, Overview of Indian mutual funds – NAV, SID, KIM, SAI, KYC, CAS,
FACTA; Types of mutual funds and options – SIP, SWP, STP.
Project Appraisal and Finance
(PAF)

(SFM)

Identify and apply the essential tools, techniques, and concepts of strategic financial
management to attain organization's financial objectives.

Apply different valuation approaches and their implications for potential and existing projects
of the firm.

Develop components of corporate plan, understand strategic financial planning and


understand growth strategies.
Treasury Management
The treasurer need to understand the intricacies and interdependences of one financial market
with the other at the same time protecting the organization against various forms of risks.
Topics include scope and functions of treasury, integrated treasury, asset liability management,
foreign exchange management, financial system with focus on money market and cash
management.
Upon completion of this course, students are expected to:
