SVIMS is a temple of learning. Blessed are those who have studied here and travelled the world
insearch of better prospects .Having done residency programme at SVIMS and also worked as assistant
professor I had the opportunity to get exposed to all types of neurosurgical cases, be it open/minimally
invasive neuro and spine surgeries including neurotrauma, pituitary, skull base, vascular, CV junction,
stereotaxy etc. We are blessed to have been mentored by excellent , learned faculty from other institutes
especially Dr BCM Prasad, Dr.Ramesh Chandra, Dr Varaprasad, Dr Tatineni Suresh and all our senior
collegues; Dr Sunil, Dr E.Srinivas, Dr.Maheswar Reddy, Dr.Sasidhar and Dr M.L.Ananth in the
department. It is only after coming out of the institute ,we come to know what we miss, the excellent
academic roasters, The Seminars, The Neuroradiology sessions, Case discussions, Journal clubs, Tumor
board meetings , Mortality meetings, and especially going out for a cup of tea with boss and other colleagues
after the days busy schedule..After graduating from SVIMS,I got plenty of oppurtunities to work abroad n
also at other cities in India .But the feeling of serving the people of my country made me and my parents
proud. Hence I decided to stay in India. If given an opportunity ,I would like to serve as a faculty in the
department of neurosurgery for life time in this esteemed institute, with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

It is indeed the grace of the Lord Balaji that brought me to this institute located at his feet. I am blessed
to be trained under Associate Professor & Head Dr. P.V.G.K Sarma and my guide Dr. P.V.G.K Sarma.
Studying at SVIMS has helped me in shaping me professionally. The vast clinical material available
here along with the laboratory facilities helped me in gaining clinical knowledge as well as acquiring
laboratory skills to survive in these competitive times. Though I was from a non medical background,
the residents of the department helped me in understanding the clinical correlations of laboratory tests
and their applications. The departmental seminars, Chalk and talk sessions, laboratory postings all
helped in my multifaceted development. It enthused in me the confidence of being able to take up my
role in future that of a teacher, working in a laboratory, working in a research centres etc. Through my
dissertation work I learnt the basics of conducting research which will help in future when I intend to
do my PhD.
The department headed by Associate Professor Dr. P.V.G.K Sarma garu taught us not only Biotechnol-
ogy but the very importance of understanding the basics in the subject and its application to sciences.
I am happy that ASVIDA is formed and bringing out a booklet on Annual day celebrations of the insti-
tute. I wish all my friends and the Alumni of SVIMS success in all theirs endeavours.

I would like to convey my regards for the idea of SVIMS, Alumni. I am proud to say that I graduated
from SVIMS & being part of the institute. I am very grateful to my professors Dr.BCM.Prasad sir and
Dr.V.V.Ramesh Chandra sir for guiding me in the field of Neurosurgery. Now I work at a district level
super speciality hospital. Under their guidance in SVIMS I had the opportunity to assist and perform a
spectrum of Neurosurgical cases. As a well equipped department, I had the opportunity to take part in
many surgeries which gave me strength and courage to take up difficult cases even at a district level
hospital. During my stay at SVIMS in the department of Neurosurgery along with academics and surgi-
cal skills my mentors taught me a systemic way to deal with the patients, to give the best to the needy
patients. In my private practice there was not even a single day has gone without remembering my
teachers. A strong foundation is always necessary for sound success. Dr.BCM.Prasad sir and
Dr.Ramesh Chandra sir are the strong pillars on which the department stands and where i stand now is
all because of them. The skills acquired from my department in SVIMS are always appreciated by my
colleagues here. I always feel happy when my colleagues here praise my teachers because of me. I feel

It is my privilege to express few words about my experience that I gained and the life skills I realized
during and after completion of PGDMLT at SVIMS University. I am greatly indebted to all the profes-
sors, technicians, colleagues who taught me professionalism. Hadn’t I did PGDMLT at this prestigious
institution, the things would have been different in my career. I gained knowledge and conscious on
health. If we want to achieve anything in our life we should be healthy. When we are healthy we can try
to achieve anything and everything. I observed the way to communicate with people. I learned convinc-
ing people at times when the situation demands. I strongly believe that everything depends upon the way
we convey .Everyday is learning and my zeal to learn started at this institute.
The second aspect I would like to emphasize on determination. What I learned from my professor is
simple life with noble thoughts. The progress flow charts I prepared in this institute motivated me to
know where I stand. The third aspect that I would like to stress on patience that I gained while doing
night duties at this institute. Under the guidance of Prof. and Dean Dr.Srinivasa Rao, the terms quality
control, accuracy and precision that I learnt during my course have been influencing me a lot. This
helped me do my research and attain PhD degree. Finally it is the attitude that changed me to some ex-
tent. In promoting discipline, the above said aspects motivated me to serve the students as a senior
teacher of English apart from being trainer, Resource person, Assistant professor , Associate professor,
HOD, In-Charge Placement and Training officer at different Institutions and Universities.

First of all I am happy to be a member of the Alumni association of SVIMS. It gives me extreme pleasure to
extend my association with SVIMS as an Assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and CCM
and reside at the foothills of Lord Balaji. I was graduated from SVMC Tirupati and did my MD in Anesthesi-
ology from the year 2012 to 2015 and PDF in Critical care from 2015 to 2016 from SVIMS Tirupati. I will
be always grateful to our department as a whole including the faculty, seniors, juniors and technicians. I also
hold good memories with my fellow residents and faculty from other departments. My deepest gratitude to
our then HOD Dr. M. Hanumatha Rao sir and our present HOD Dr. Aloka Samantaray sir who were also
guides for my MD and PDF thesis for their esteemed guidance, unflinching support, keen surveillance, ines-
timable aid and continued inspiration. Their special concern, insistence on perfection and responsibility
showered towards me to go beyond words. Academics are well streamlined, interactive and interesting. The
guidance of my mentors will always be remembered while teaching students. Our annual CME BAPU
(Balaji Anesthesia Postgraduate Update program) is very useful in updating our knowledge, improving stage
performance skills and interaction with esteemed guest faculty from all over the nation. The cool climate,
serene atmosphere and greenery within the SVIMS campus are always mood refreshing.

SVIMS University radiology residency program also prepared me well for my current practice in various im-
aging modalities like radiographs, barium contrast procedures, ultrasonography Doppler , CT , MRI and
PETCT .I also got to do many procedures during my training because of the small number of residents at
SVIMS. For example, I was able to do many ultrasound guided as well as CT guided biopsies and proce-
dures.
With all the funding and electronic resources that SVIMS provides, every resident will have everything
they need to learn the vast array of material. Having CMEs and research conferences funded has allowed us
to focus on learning, rather than worrying about debt.
In addition, the program provides many opportunities to learn REPORTING skills, all of which are critical to
practice . As someone who has now done locums in a variety of radiology departments, I can say that I am
more than prepared for practice and would recommend SVIMS's radiology residency program to anyone
who is interested. “
Overall, I’m very happy with the radiology residency training I received at SVIMS University. “
Thanking u sir

trained under Professor Dr. PVLN Srinivasa Rao and my guide Dr. Aparna R Bitla. Studying at SVIMS has
helped me in shaping me professionally. The vast clinical material available here along with the laboratory
facilities helped me in gaining clinical knowledge as well as acquiring laboratory skills to survive in these
competitive times. Though I was from a non medical background, the residents of the department helped me
in understanding the clinical correlations of laboratory tests and their applications. The departmental semi-
nars, Chalk and talk sessions, laboratory postings all helped in my multifaceted development. It enthused in
me the confidence of being able to take up my role in future that of a teacher, working in a laboratory, work-
ing in a research centres etc. Through my dissertation work I learnt the basics of conducting research which
will help in future when I intend to do my PhD.
The department headed by Prof Dr. PVLN Srinivasa Rao garu taught us not only but the very importance of
understanding the basics in the subject and its application to sciences.
I am happy that ASVIDA is formed and bringing out a booklet on Annual day celebrations of the institute. I
wish all my friends and the Alumni of SVIMS success in all theirs endeavours.
About institution:
How many institutions we met in our life will not give same experience and emo-
tional bond as what we had with our mother institution.
SVIMS is my mother institution which gave very good platform and eminent teachers and excellent
body of knowledge base with stress free and refreshing campus for me with that I personally developed strong
competitive skills in getting my M Sc Nursing seat in Govt. College of Nursing, Hyderabad by getting 8th rank
in state wide entrance test and 2 rank in results of my M Sc nursing course, 2nd rank in TTD recruitment for the
present position what I am doing and 2nd rank in Ph.D entrance examination. By this occasion I am conveying
my sincere thanks and gratitude to my institution and teachers, without them I may not to be the one what I am
now. At last not the least I am Proud to say that “I am the product of SVIMS College of Nursing”. Thank you.

About Institution:
Education is a marvelous blessing, and I am extremely appreciative of the opportunity I have to attend
college. There are so many individuals who played a part in getting me to where I am today. This letter will in
no way cover the multitude of the appreciation I have for each and every one of you, but hopefully, you will
catch a glimpse of my gratitude.
I want to start off by thanking the many teachers who have put up with me throughout my time at
SVIMS. There is not enough time in the world to effectively thank each and every one of you who contributed
to my education. So, thank you for teaching me not only in the classroom, but outside of it, as well. Thank you
for always encouraging me to try my best and for never giving up on me. Thank you to the wonderful secretar-
ies who always greeted me with a smiling face. You taught me more than you will ever know, and without all
of you, I would not be where I am today.
Husband & parents thank you for all you have done for me. I appreciate the time and effort you invest
into me and my education, the many life lessons you teach me on a daily basis, the many phone calls and hand-
written letters that kept me in the loop and the sass I get from you, but most importantly, I want to thank you
for supporting me in all I do.
Best wishes, Your’s

I Use to believe that“ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to
change the world.” and it was proved because of the SVIMS University. Which gave me a best profes-
sional career as a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician after qualifying a Post Graduate Diploma in
Medical Laboratory Technology [PGDMLT, 2003-2005]. The SVIMS has given me the confidence I need
to stand confidently, not only in the field of Clinical laboratory wing to any part of the diagnostic wing.
Due to the training and hands on experience of different advanced technology faced in the SVIMS, I was
able to stand and face the challenges in the getting a professional paramedic career in the Defence Organi-
sation (Government of India) and had chased many challenges and proving my self with appreciation
from the officers and patients. Actually it was possible due to my education at SVIMS university, which
gave me best provision for my life's journey in the medical field as paramedical professional. Because
“Training is everything”.
My experience “ while I was in SVIMS I was exposed to the world that I didn't know was possible.”
Amazing technical partners, amazing teaching professors and assistant professors, everyone was very
friendly and motivated to learn with disciplined environment. I really enjoyed the study, especially meeting
new technology and challenges from different departments at SVIMS. It was an unforgettable experience
and I would recommend this to everyone, who want to become a best paramedical professional.
It was one of the best experiences I have ever had as a Lab Technician in SVIMS. Everything was good,
technical staff and administration.

About Institution:
I Mrs. RoohiFabeena had completed under graduation in Nursing from SVIMS CON would like to share my
gratitude towards my teachers and SVIMS community during my period of education
“Teachers are like roots for our tree, who helped us to bear colourful flowers and fruits”
A Teacher – A pillar of support, and epitome of strength, as loving as a mother, as strict as father, as caring as
friend, a disciplinarian, yet always so approachable and warm at heart.A Teacher – A beautiful human being.
That’s precisely what a Teacher is for every student. Teachers are Mentors. They are student’s role models.
Everything they say feels right. Everything about them looks nice. From the confines of a class room, they
have exposed us to the real world. They prepared us to live. I definitely owe them a thank you.
I am glad to be the student of SVIMS, a million thanks to our Teachers and SVIMS community. As you gave
me strength to make my dreams come true. For the world you are one person, but for one person you are the
world! And that person is me. Thank you Teachers, thank for the challengers you have made me face. For they
gave me courage to be leading in every race. Teachers you are the best wherever I go, whatever I do, I will al-
ways remember you. You have inspired me to find my goal and made me capable of realizing it. Am grateful
for everything you gave me. You did not just teach, you mentored. You made me literate with your guidance
seemingly difficult things became easy, you thought me to keep trying and never to lose hope. You blessed me
with Success and gave me strength. I consider myself lucky to have you all as my family. Whatever little I
have achieved is because of SVIMS teachers and family. Whoever I am today is because of you. You showed
me the right path. I cannot thank you all just enough.
“The true Teacher defends her pupils against her own personal influence. She inspires self-trust. She
guides their eyes from herself to the spirit that quickens her. She will have no Disciples”
I owe you all a debt of gratitude for all that you have done for me.
Thank you all!!!!!!

About my institution:
College is cycle of stripped identity in which we continuously challenge our minds, step outside our
comfort zones, and sometimes lapse into being lost. Without you, we would not have a foundation to feel
grounded ever so often, so thank you.
To our professors: Thank you for making learning our passion. Twenty years from now, it will not be the grade
you gave us that mattered, but the lessons you taught us through the textbooks, the discussions, and the office
hours. Eloquently stated and simply put, you all are wonderful. Although doctors heal, lawyers represent, con-
tractors build, and bankers invest, you help instill in us the hunger for knowledge, the passion to learn, and
help ignite the flame to set ablaze our dreams.
I am Dr.M.L.Ananth,now working as consultant neurosurgeon in Gowri Gopal Hospital Kurnool. After com-
pleting my M.S in General Surgery at Kurnool, with a passion to become neurosurgeon I worked as a resident
in neurosurgery department for an year. After clearing the entrance exam I joined as a resident in the same de-
partment and completed my course in 2011. Under the able guidance of Dr.B.C.M.Prasad, Dr.Suresh, Dr.Anil,
Dr.Varaprasad and Dr.Ramesh chandra I gained enough confidence and skill to handle neurosurgery cases.
Despite getting offers at Hyderabad following the footsteps of my uncle Dr.W.Seetharam and my desire to
serve the poor I joined as assistant professor in Kurnool Medical College on contract basis . Now I am working
as a consultant neurosurgeon at Gowri Gopal Hospital Kurnool. I thank everyone in the department at SVIMS
for guiding me so that I could become confident enough to deal with patients.I still remember the trip to
Talakona with all the staff.

I did my M.Sc Biotechnology during 2004 to 2006 at Department of Biotechnology, SVIMS and completed
Doctoral programme from Thapar University (now known as Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technol-
ogy), Patiala in the year 2013. I have an expertise in the area of plant molecular biology/genetic engineering.
During the doctoral programme I worked extensively on Molecular cloning and functional characterization
of class I patatin gene promoters from potato cultivars. A total of five new class I patatin gene promoters
have been identified and their functionality were assessed in potato by transgenic means. As per my aca-
demic credentials I was awarded UGC-Research Fellowship in Sciences for meritorious students (UGC-
RFSMS) by UGC, Govt. of India.
After my Ph.D. I worked as Research Associate (w.e.f. April 2013-March 2017) in an Indo-Australia Grand
Challenge Project at National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB), New Delhi. I worked ex-
tensively on the development of transgenic Indian mustard resistant to aphids by RNAi approach. Two po-
tential double stranded RNA domains were identified in mustard aphid which upon silencing via dsRNA me-
diated gene silencing of the corresponding genes could lead to aphid mortality (patent under progress).
As part of my second postdoctoral programme as Research Associate (w.e.f. April 2017-November 2017) in
Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, I worked on development of transgenic cabbage
and cauliflower resistant to Diamondback moth, a major insect pest by the introduction of cry1b/cry1c Bt-
toxins. A number of transgenic lines resistant to Diamondback moth of both the crops were developed.
During the course of my postdoctoral programme, I got selected for RCB-Young Investigator Award spon-
sored by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Currently I am working as Young Investigator at
Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad, Haryana. I am investigating on infection site specific
transcriptional reprogramming in Medicago trucatula upon powdery mildew infection. These findings will
then be translated for its potential application value in Pisum sativum crop against powdery mildew infec-
tion.

the clinical knowledge in a more appropriate and useful way. The Senior faculty here encourage interdepart-
mental discussions as and when required which gave us an opportunity to discuss with other departmental
colleagues and taught us the concept of multidisciplinary approach to any case and thus helped us in better
application of our clinical knowledge for patient management.
The department headed by Prof _______ garu taught us not only _________ but the importance of basic sci-

It is indeed the grace of the Lord Balaji that brought me to this institute located at his feet. Studying at
SVIMS has helped me in shaping me professionally and spiritually. The vast clinical material available here
along with the laboratory facilities helped me in acquiring laboratory skills. The demonstration of advanced
techniques helped me in getting exposure to the current and advanced concepts. Though I was from a non
medical background, the residents of the department helped me in understanding the clinical correlations of
laboratory tests and their applications. The senior technicians of the department were always there to teach
me the basics and to tell when I went wrong and guided me whenever I needed help. The laboratory postings
in different departments along with hands on experience in handling patients’ samples all helped me in gain-
ing a grip on the subject. It enthused in me the confidence of being able to take up my role of a technician or
to work in a research centre.

I did my Nuclear Medicine residency from SVIMS, and currently working as senior resident in the same
institute. I was one of the 1st batch of M.D students. As it was a new emerging branch I had an apprehension
on the scope of branch.
The faculty, staff and the environment in the department was very comfortable and cooperative. I
was fortunate to be trained under great teachers. Throughout these 3 years, the academics were great and I
had a great opportunity to know in depth and scope of this subject both in diagnostics as well as therapy.
The department in SVIMS provides an immense opportunity for the younger generation to emerge as
good nuclear medicine physicians for their bright future.

Being a Physician had been a dream since the time I don't even recollect. Having acquired degrees like
MBBS and MD (General Medicine), the zeal of becoming a super speciality physician never wavered off
in me. That's where this esteemed institution called SVIMS made me realise the essence of medicine more
accurately and more efficiently.
Being the first Nephrology Resident at SVIMS brings me great pleasure and pride to say that this is where
it all began, this is where I was trained to diagnose a patient more accurately and not give up until things
get done in the way they should.
I had the acumen needed for a physician but probably lacked the direction to use that, but by the time I left
this place all my mistakes were corrected, all my knowledge found a direction and a path was laid to what I
am now.
This is the place and these are the teachers who taught me that each life counts, each patient is different
from the previous, eachscenario is a puzzle on its own and to fight against all odds to save that one life I
could.
I cannot say how far I would go or where I would reach at the end, but I can definitely say that this is how
it started and this is where it started. My passion, My dreams and My goal were all put together by these
stalwarts here at SVIMS.

It was the grace of the Lord Balaji that brought me to this institute located at his feet. I am blessed to be trained under
Professor________ and my guide Dr _________________. Studying at SVIMS has helped me in shaping me
professionally and spiritually. The various topics covered under the clinical meetings like research presentations,
spotter presentations, Capsule on an investigation, CPC discussions help in applying the clinical knowledge in a more
appropriate and useful way. The Senior faculty here encourage interdepartmental discussions as and when required
which gave us an opportunity to discuss with other departmental colleagues and taught us the concept of
multidisciplinary approach to any case and thus helped us in better application of our clinical knowledge for patient
management.

It was a great experience to do my DM(Nephrology) training in SVIMS. I am blessed to be trained under Professor
Dr.V.Siva Kumar garu. SVIMS, being a multispeciality hospital with structured post graduate training programme, we
had multiple kinds of clinical meetings, where specialists of different departments interact and discuss to enlighten
each other. So, we as trainees were fortunate to learn medicine as whole rather than get restricted to our speciality
alone. Dr.V.Siva Kumar, our mentor, not only taughtus nephrology but also basics of medicine. His interest in under-
standing pathophysiology and applying it bedside made all the difference and made medicine more interesting. He also
taught us basics of research and under his guidance, our department of nephrology was able contribute a lot to research
in the field of nephrology. Professor PVLN SrinivasRaogaru and his team gave us support for our thesis and research. I
have made good friends in SVIMS and such good friendships that last for rest of my life. Training in SVIMS helped
me in becoming a better physician and a better human being. I will always be grateful to my teachers and SVIMS for
that.
I am delighted that ASVIDA is formed and bringing all us together. I thank Professor PVLN SrivinasRao sir for all the
efforts.
Blessed to be a student of Dr.V.Siva Kumar and SVIMS.
