The health sector in Mexico has undergone very important transformations over
time. Life expectancy from the 50s to date has increased by 28 years and we are
currently in an epidemiological transition, where, on the one hand, the fight against
infectious, communicable and parasitic diseases was improved, but on the other,
we are experiencing the appearance and the onslaught of chronic diseases, such
as diabetes mellitus, which has grown 300% from the 1980s to date and has seen
the mortality rate multiplied four times.
2.- Type 2 diabetes mellitus: DM-2 is the main cause of death in Mexico. Since
1998, it had a mortality rate of 43.3 deaths per 100,000 inhab., Which represented
9.4% of all deaths.
3.- Ischemic heart disease: They represent the second cause of death in the
country. According to a cohort study carried out in Mexico City in 2009, in low-
income groups, the incidence of myocardial infarction was 6.6 per 1,000
inhabitants / year in men and 4.8 per 1,000 inhabitants / year in women.
Ending cancer has become one of the main workhorses of scientists around the
world. A whole new arsenal of less aggressive and more effective therapies is
being added to the traditional use of drugs (chemotherapy), radiation
(radiotherapy) and surgery against cancer, designed to hinder tumor cells in their
growth and expansion throughout the body.
Exercises, especially aerobics, help you stay healthy, strong, lose weight, prevent
illness, and reduce stress.
2.- take care of your diet; It is not about becoming obsessive about the subject and
counting calories all day, but about having the conscience to choose the best of
foods and thus enjoy adequate health. Look for a way to have a balanced diet,
which does not neglect any necessary food for your body; that is, it includes
vegetables, fruits, white meat, legumes, fiber, and plenty of fluids.
4.- No smoking
