It consists of a number of elements, for example; warning/evacuation, search and rescue, providing immediate assistance,

assessing damage, continuing assistance and the immediate restoration or construction of infrastructure (i.e. provisional

storm drains or diversion dams).

What are examples of local issues?

What are the local issues, problems or difficulties people around you are dealing with? These local issues can cover a lot
of different topics, such as lack of health services, lack of quality education, food security issues, gender based violence,
poverty, corruption, lack of meaningful youth participation.

Ideas:

The Philippines by virtue of its geographic circumstances is highly prone to natural disasters, such as

earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tropical cyclones, land slide and flash flood.

- In the first place, humans (human activities) are the main reason climate change takes place. Cutting trees,

burning fossil fuels, and land use change.

- Climate change refers to long-term changes in temperature and weather patterns. These changes may be natural,

but since the 18th century, human activity has become a major contributor to climate change, primarily due to

the burning of fossil fuels (such as coal, oil and gas) to produce heat-trapping gases.

A tangible loss is typically a straightforward monetary calculation of expenses and costs based on medical

treatments, loss of income, loss of property, or legal fees. On the other hand, intangible losses do not have a specific

monetary value identified within a bill.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), “a natural disaster is an act of nature of such magnitude as to

create a catastrophic situation in which the day-to-day patterns of life are suddenly disrupted and people are plunged
into helplessness and suffering, and as a result, need food, clothing, shelter, medical and nursing care and other

necessities of life, and protection against unfavourable environmental factors and conditions

Elegance. An elegant design solution is simple, clever, or ingenious. It might have fewer parts to wear out or fail. It

might combine solutions from different areas in an inventive way not seen before. All good designers strive for elegance

in their designs.

Robustness. A robust design is unlikely to fail, even when used in conditions more severe than it was designed for. It is

sturdy or resilient, perhaps bending, but not breaking in hard use.

Aesthetics. If everything else is equal, people prefer a solution that is tasteful and pleasing to look at.

Cost. What will it cost? Can the target user afford the solution? Do you have enough money to build your prototype?

Resources. Do you have all the materials and equipment you need for your engineering project, or will you be able to

obtain them quickly and at a very low cost?

Time. Do you have enough time to complete your design and make it before the due date? Allow time for doing

additional research and fixing problems. It is very rare for everything to work correctly the first time.

Skill Required. Do you have the skills to build and implement your solution, or can you learn them in the time available?

Safety. Is your solution safe to build, use, store, and dispose of?
The study is classified with two techniques of garnering data, the survey and interview. The researchers chose 100

selected participants and gave questioner to be answer. Below are the participating people who provide the researcher

with the consent to conduct the survey:

Students - Survey was executed by the students of SJIT- Butuan City. They are active in different competitions in various

categories. Their age is fun of exploring innovations and technologies and them as respondents are perfect for conducting

the survey.

Professors/Teachers/Instructors - they are most knowledgeable to academic aspects, and their involvement in this survey

will highlight the dominance of museums in the world today.

Citizens in Butuan City - they are one of the affected subjects for this study. They were considered as a primary

beneficiary for implementation of this institution.

Local Butuanon Artist - they are one of the main contributor subjects for this study. Their participation for this survey is

highly needed due to larger scale of demands within this urban city.

The sources are not only gathered through library research but also surveys and interviews. The strategy chosen by the

researcher is base on the data required for the additional information that compels to the design of museums that

considers the other factors affecting people, and society.

In this chapter, the research methodology explains how the proposal will be done and how it is interpreted and

analysed to come up with the possible design solutions for this study.

The proponent utilized the qualitative research method for gathering necessary and useful data for the study.

This is to fully understand the process and methods of the design proposal. Primary data collection would evaluate

knowledgeable individuals through interviews and asking them their views and understanding about the proposal. This

would also include observation, benchmarking, and field sketching for possible places that the proponent had chosen. By

this method, the researcher understands and collected primary data that helped in coming up with solutions.
The research design refers to the overall strategy that you choose to integrate the different components of the

study in a coherent and logical way, thereby, ensuring you will effectively address the research problem; it constitutes the

blueprint for the collection, measurement, and analysis of data.
