My Plan

Name: Scothern, Seth Benjamin

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: REMEMBER AND BECOME

What are the most important spiritual truths the Lord has taught you?

That the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God.

Service is the key to living a Christ-centered life.

God speaks to us through His chosen leaders.

What Christlike attributes has the Lord helped you develop?

The Lord has helped me develop compassion for other people.

The Lord has helped me develop patience.

The Lord has helped me develop hope and faith.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: MY VISION AND GOALS

My one-year vision:

In one year from now, I will be working towards a degree while also giving
priority to my church service and personal progress. I will be surrounded by
friends that share the same values as I do and I will be a worthy priesthood
holder.

Goals that will help me achieve my one-year vision:

I will read from the Book of Mormon every single day.

I will be actively enroled in college.

I will attend the temple with friends and family on a weekly basis.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: CONTINUING DISCIPLESHIP

How will you continue the habit of personal prayer after your mission?

I will make prayer a priority in my life. I'll search opportunites to carve out time
for the Lord.

How will you continue your scripture study habits after your mission?

What will I study?

I will study the Book of Mormon daily, along with the other scriptures and words
of the prophets.

When will I study?


I will study everyday before I leave my house.

How long will I study?

I will study a minimum of 30 minutes daily, but idealy I will study for an hour
every day.

After your mission, what kinds of activities will you participate in to


help you keep the Sabbath day holy?

I will participate in family activities, church meetings, responsibilities of my


callings, and Christ-like ministering to those

Where do you plan to attend Church meetings after your mission?

I will attend the nearest singles ward or my family ward.

What are your goals for participating in temple and family history
work?

My goal is to make regular temple attendance a priority and a habit. I plan on


attending the temple once a week.

How will you continue to give service after your mission?

First of all, I will make sure to complete my priesthood duties and callings.
Outside of that, I will look for opportunities to "go about doing good."

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: SELF-RELIANCE

My Plans for Education

My plan is to attend school in January. I will start with my general credits and
then focus on a major.

My Plans for Employment

I plan to start working full time within a month of being home so that I can pay
for school. I'm not sure what my longterm employment will look like yet.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: DATING AND TEMPLE MARRIAGE

What are my goals for dating after my mission?

I want to go on real dates instead of just hanging out.

I want to live gospel standards while I'm dating.


I want to date frequently so that I can come to know lots of types of people.

What personal standards will guide you in dating?

I will always date based on what it says in the "for the strength of youth"
pamphlet.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: MY PLAN

My Life's Vision

I will live my life always remembering and representing my Savior in word and
in deed.
