YOUR ANNOTATION
It is my Philosophy in teaching where student will learn with the sincere aide from a teacher. A teacher is
devoted to her profession if she passionately prepares everything. I do believe that learners learn easily if
they are free to discover or experience them. I discovered that my students have Audio-Visual
Intelligence. That is why, they prefer that the teacher use PowerPoint presentation, games, and real-life
situation during the lesson. As a teacher, we must consider the learning style of our learners and then
apply different philosophies whether it is ethical and behavioral. That is why in my lesson, it was inspired
from some philosophies of Education. Even in checking of attendance, using the link, they cooperatively
participated and so the rest of the session. During the lesson proper, learners answered orally HOTS
questions. It was more on inductive method of teaching. The drilling activities and generalization were
performed in their own with collaboration with their groupmates.

One the philosophy that I supported was social constructivism that applies specifically to mathematics
education that mathematics should be taught with a focus on problem solving; that interaction should
occur between teachers and students and among students; and those students should be encouraged
to create their own.

Students can enhance their knowledge beyond rote memory, establish meaningful context to
comprehend the information, and take command of the learning process as an active participant rather
than a passive observer when math is taught.

Another philosopher is John Dewey, an American educator, was a pivotal influence in the progressive
movement. He thought that children should be exposed to democracy at a young age to become better
citizens. According to Dewey, rather than having an all-knowing instructor standing in front of the class
and lecturing, pupils should be actively involved in their education.

In a progressive school, however, each child's center of gravity lies within them. That is, progressive
education is centered on the needs of the kid rather than the instructor or a set curriculum.

I as a facilitator of learning, I used the modeling strategy where I demonstrated on how to perform their
activity in which they will make a circle and name the terms related to it. Through modeling, I engaged
students by showing them how to perform a skill while describing each step with a rationale. This
provides students with both a visual and verbal example of what they will be expected to do.

I do believe that through these strategies, the learners will learn according to their interest and
intelligence. They are given the time to analyze, interpret and apply to their life what they have learned.
Furthermore, the teacher must have the skill on how to urge the student to be cooperative learner. With
that, we can guarantee that effective learning will be obtained by the learners.
