1.0 OBJECTIVE

The objective of this method statement is to clearly understand the job, PQP and the
step-by-step procedures of the execution of the job along with safety precautions, which
are necessary to avoid any kind of injuries/accidents to personal or any damage to any
equipment or property. The list of necessary equipments is also mentioned in this
statement.

2.0 SCOPE

The Scope of work is to do the “MODIFICATION OF ACCESS PANEL


COVERS IN MINARETEIN BUILDING.(HOT WORK)

This is not correct definition


3.0 DEFINITIONS:

QF - Planning & Development

Contractor - EMCO

HSE - Health Safety Environment

PPE - Personnel Protective Equipment

4.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:

EMCO Project Engineer shall be responsible for overall Project inclusive ensuring
that all quality & safety measures are implemented.

EMCO Team Leader shall be responsible for the co-ordination of day-to-day site
activities with the site team and monitoring the project schedule, implementing the
QHSE requirements at site activities. Reporting to EMCO Project Engineer

EMCO Safety Inspector is responsible for the enforcement of safety and ensures
that the works are carried out in accordance with company safety procedure.

5.0 WORK PROCEDURE

5.1 CIVIL & PRELIMINARY WORKS: -

 Permit shall be arranged before commencing the work.

 Area shall be reinstate afrer complition of work daily basis.

 Removal of existing panel cover as per scope.

 Supply and installation of new SS access panel cover.

 Tack welding should be used dring fixing access panel where required.

 Surronding area shall be protected during work.

 Inspection shall be raised every interval of work stage.

 PTW shall be closed after completion of the project.

6.0 HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT:

➢ The work area will be barricaded prior to start the work.

➢ Necessary Safety Signage will be displayed on the work site.

➢ Necessary permits (as applicable) shall be obtained prior to commencing any


work.

➢ Basic PPE shall be used by all employees. These shall include the following
as a minimum, Safety Cover All, Safety Shoes, Hard Hat, and Safety Glass.

➢ While working at height necessary PPE like safety Harness shall be used.

➢ Access permission shall be obtained from QF

➢ Safety Induction shall be carried out for all before start of the work and
necessary safety information shall be circulated and implemented during the
execution of the works.

➢ Safety Inspector will be available at site & monitor the safety.

7.0 EQUIPMENT:

➢ General carpentry tools

➢ Welding machine

➢ Power tools

➢ Hand tools

8.0 WORKMANSHIP:

Works shall be carried out as per QF procedure and finishes adhere to the
instructions given by QF Representative. The Project Engineer and Team Leader will
ensure that all works carried out as per the QF specification.
