For more than 70 years, Fitzpatrick in theUK manufactured and supplied the market
with re rated metal doors for commercial, industrial and special building applications
throughout the world. .

Since the year 2001, Fitzpatrick, comprised of a management team with a wealth of
experience in the eld, has established a manufacturing facility to produce re
resistant doors, acoustical doors, security doors, ballistic doors, re resistant rolling
shutters, and steel sliding doors. Later on, Fitzpatrick expanded its capabilities and
experience to add to its products the linen chutes, garbage chutes and re curtains
that are compliant with British Standards, American Standards and European
Standards. .

Offering design, manufacture and installation services with an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and
OHSAS 18001 certied manufacturing plant, Fitzpatrick uses modern manufacturing
techniques and adopts high quality standards for production planning in a way to

CERTIFICATIONS
All our doorsets and frames are fully certied to recognized performance standards.
The company is certied to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001.

Our Fire Resisting doorsets are tested and or certied to the British Standard BS 476 part
22 by Warrington Exova Certire, Intertek and IFC for up to 4 hours.

Moreover, it is tested and or certied to the European Standard EN1634-1 for both
Integrity and Insulation by Efectis, IFC, Intertek and Certire. As for the American
Standard, our doors are tested and or certied to UL 10C and NFPA 80 by Underwriters
Laboratories UL and Intertek.

Our sound reduction doors are rated as follow:

- STC39 and STC45 by PKA acoustic consulting.
- STC39, STC40, STC41, STC42, STC45 and STC46 by Intertek.
- STC44 by SRL sound research lab.

Sound Transmission Class (or STC) is an integer rating of how well a door attenuates
airborne sound.

Our Ballistic Doors are rated FB4 & FB6 to the EN1522 by UKAS.

Each of the other products such as rolling shutters, sliding doors or chutes are rated to
one or more standards and by one or more third parties.

Fire Rated Metal Doorsets

The Fitzpatrick range of re rated metal doors has been specically designed to meet
the requirements for prolonged re resistance for periods of up to 240 minutes and
according to many standards such as BS476:22, EN1634-1 & UL10C.

Sound Reduction Metal Doorsets

The Fitzpatrick sound reduction metal doors have been developed using mineral wool
to meet specic acoustic performance requirements. Certain products within the
acoustic doors range also offer re resistance.

Security Metal Doorsets

The Fitzpatrick range of security doorsets have been designed to offer protection
against various levels of attack from petty burglars using small tools, up to attempted,
forced entry with high powered machinery. Fitzpatrick security doorsets have an ideal
specication for residential properties and they can be wood cladded.

Metal Frames
The Fitzpatrick metal frames can be manufactured in galvanized steel or stainless steel
and they can be customized to receive any wooden leaf.

The tzpatrick range of metal doorsets provides a highly adaptable solution to the

General Information
Integrity doors are used to protect property and life
in the event of a re by inhibiting the spread of re,
whereas insulated doors are used when it is
required to retard the transmission of heat from
one area to another.

Fitzpatrick metal doors can be manufactured in

stainless steel or galvanized steel, frames are
manufactured from 1.5mm sheet thickness while
leaves are manufactured from 1.2 mm sheet
thickness.
They are available in either a primed or powder
coated nish to any available RAL color and can
be manufactured in many sizes and many
congurations to suit the architectural design of
the protected area.
A big range of RAL colors is available upon the
client’s request and in many textural nishes such
as “Orange Peel”, “Sandy”, “Bright” or “Matt”.
Fitzpatrick metal doors can also attain a wood-like
nish by using the latest Italian Sublimation

Extended Fire Resistance Doors and Insulated Doors

Fitzpatrick range of integrity and insulated doors has been specically designed to
meet the requirements for prolonged re resistance for periods of up to 240 minutes in
integrity and 180 minutes in insulation, and to be as exible as possible to meet all the
specier’s aesthetic/architectural requirements. The inherent properties of steel re
doors eliminate the need for intumescent seals as the metal expands with heat to seal
any gaps.

minute insulation.

Ironmongery
Fitzpatrick re doors are prepared to receive any type of ironmongery according to
the hardware set description.
In addition, all our metal doors are reinforced with 5mm reinforcements to receive the
required hinges and 3mm reinforcements to receive locks and strikes.

Vision Panels & Louvers

All re rated doors can receive a glazed vision panel or a re louver, sizes can vary
depending on the re-rating norm, duration and client’s requirements.

Performance
The effects of acoustic privacy and nuisance noise are subjective and inuenced by
background noise, distance from sound source and general context, amongst others.
When considering walls containing doors, it is the combined performance of both
elements that is relevant, clearly the proportion of door to wall areal is particularly
important.

Fitzpatrick offers a total engineered metal doorset solution that provides very effective
sound reduction for areas with high noise levels, such as plant or generator rooms. With
complete engineered doorsets, all components are factory-assembled to the closest
tolerances and thoroughly tested to ensure that required performance levels are
successfully achieved.
Preparation, installation and best practice on-site are also crucial elements in the
process to stop sound leakage.

Acoustics is a complex eld of a wide variety of performance levels.

General Information
Fitzpatrick’s high security steel doors offer a
wide range of protection and performance
characteristics.
Fitzpatrick’s security doors include a security
by design doors for residential applications.

Security doors must offer resistance to threats

machinery.

Fitzpatrick security doors are available in either

a primed or powder coated nish to any

Fitzpatrick security doors are available in four

distinct levels of security protection:

Fitzpatrick Level 1
Resistance to attack with hand tools, small levers, pliers, spanners, etc or bodily force.
These are usually relatively noiseless attempts to gain entry by opportunists.

Fitzpatrick Level 2
Resistance to attack with heavier hand tools, pipe wrench, claw hammer or hand drill
where the burglar is more determined and is not afraid of creating some noise.

Fitzpatrick Level 3
Resistance to attack with more substantial and heavier tools such as a crowbar, a small
cordless power drill, an axe or blowtorch. At this level the threat is made by a
determined criminal who is not too concerned about the noise he makes in hisattempt
to gain entry.

Fitzpatrick Level 4
At this level the threat is made by a determined professional who uses tools such as
heavy sledgehammers, power drilling, cutting and grinding equipment.

BLAST RESISTANT DOORS
General Information
An explosion is a sudden release of gas at
high pressure in the environment.
Sudden, because the release must be
sufciently rapid for the energy
contained in the gas dissipated via a
shock wave.

Blast protection is one of today’s biggest

challenges. Fitzpatrick will have to hand.
A Petro-chemical blast may be
regarded as different to that of a terrorist

Blast Resistant Doors

Fitzpatrick blast resistant doors are manufactured to meet the international requirements
of blast pressure based on design calculations and certied by an approved third party
consultancy ofces in accordance with industry standards.
Fitzpatrick’s blast doors are manufactured from steel, with an inner welded framework
connected to front and rear doors skins with multiple welds. The voids between

condent that Fitzpatrick re products satisfy all necessary conditions and approvals.
Certication on project assessments is available for larger shutters and projects.
