EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Vegie Turon’to Snack Business provides healthy cravings for anyone, affecting
half of the population within our reach abstaining themselves from enjoying snacks that
are unhealthy. Functioning as a help to anyone who’s craving a cheap, healthy and
satisfying snack to fill their tummies, not excluding the people who follow a diet.

Vegie Turon’to Snack Business is headquartered in the City of Caloocan. The


business ownership of this company is via Partnership consisting of two people, Krishia
Peralta and Aleah Arpal, working together with 8 of our employees who have extensive
experience in making snacks while applying healthy ideas.

Across Caloocan the snack business has seen an explosion of recognition through
social media over the last months. North Caloocan is an affluent area with a high
density of health conscious people. According to the research of one of our employees,
it has shown that nine out of 10 health conscious people in North Caloocan would prefer
to stop and control themselves on their cravings, rather than to enjoy now and suffer
later.

The very reason why they prefer our products over the currently five businesses
offering delicious snacks here in North Caloocan, only three of these offer cheap prices
and none offer healthy ingredients for their snacks.

Vegie Turon’to’s marketing strategy is to emphasize the quality of snacks that we


provide while offering discounts and the availability of our products to anyone and in
every location.

Every snack that will be served will be prepared by our certified staff.
All employees are passionate and experienced.

MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION

A. Company Name
"Vegie Turon'to"
We chose this company name because we want potential buyers to know exactly
what we're selling right away. From the word "veggie," which means "healthy," to
"turon," a typical Filipino snack, and "to," which means "to," we are emphasizing the fact
that this is ours and our very own business.

B.Logo

We came up with this logo as a result of our fondness towards the Filipino vibe of
snacks that we loved before till now. Emphasizing the main ingredient of our product
which is the pumpkin, it’s simplicity gives off the mood that’ll represent a healthy Filipino
kind of snack.
C.Tagline
"At your first bite, You'll be turned on by the flavor"
We came up with this tagline because it explains our product, which is turon with a
pumpkin flavor inside it that is good for our health. In our tagline, "At your first bite, you'll
be TURned ON by the flavor," we emphasized the letters T, U, R, O, and N to form the
word "turon." It will give people an idea of what product we are selling to them. This
tagline is also good for people because it is so unique and catchy compared to other
business taglines. As stated in our tagline, we will ensure that our product provides a
good flavor for our customers.

D. History
Our company that manages healthy desires for food, Vegie Turon’to, was launched at
Blk 5 Lot 8 Franville 2 Area A Camarin North Caloocan City around September. Being a
hook to every occasion, we now have a branch where everyone can gain our products and
at the same time, our service throughout an event, making Vegie Turon’to well known while
experiencing rapid growth.

E. Vision Statement

We aim to ultimately become a customer preferred choice for healthy and affordable
merienda craves. It's our vision to exceed our customer’s expectations by always
improving and never ever compromise the food quality, consistent price value and
excellent service.

F. Mission Statement

To provide nutritious merienda craves that are made fresh daily that will also give
the customer taste buds a sweet satisfaction. Our business will never disappoint and
consistently mesmerize our customer's hearts by purchasing our goods at an affordable
price.

Our business Partnership started when Peralta came up with an original recipe
called Veggie Turon, and I Arpal decided to team up with her to turn it into a business
with the help of our other teammates. Because we all have the same goal in mind: to
provide healthier merienda to our consumers, make them smile, and make profit from it.

A.Purpose of the product/services


Our group's combined ideas resulted in the creation of the veggie turon. The product
is included in the student's, mother's, father's, adult's, and others' budgets. We want to
show and taste the product that we have created as a group and for which we have
worked extremely hard. The primary goal or the main purpose of our product is to
satisfy people's desires and cravings. Aside from satisfying their cravings, this product
of ours is beneficial to their health, particularly their eyes.

B. Product unique Features

There are numerous products on the market today that will entice you with their
originality. Sometimes the items you see in the store or market are exactly what you're
looking for to fulfill your wants. We want a product that is both nutritious and can attract
people by their curiosity. As a result, our company made the decision to create an
unusual and uncommon product.

Everyone knows that the typical turon is made of thinly sliced bananas coated with
brown sugar, covered in a spring roll wrapper, then fried until the wrapper is crisp, but
our Veggie turon is made of some healthy and yummy ingredients. And for all of you,
we're promoting our best-selling product, the "veggie turon," which everyone adores.
Our product is unique in that the banana has been replaced with pumpkin. And those
pumpkins have sliced cheese inside before it's wrapped in lumpia wrapper. We also add
condensed milk before and after cooking the veggie turon. Those ingredients are the
ones that make our product unique. That's why people come back to buy it from us.

C.Material Requirements and sources of Supply

Our product's material requirements begin with raw materials such as spring roll
wrapper, condensed milk, pumpkin, cheese, sugar, and palm oil. Individually wrapping
our product veggie turon in the best time to offer our product fresh and in the best
quality to every customer who buys it is mostly our own hard work.

When it comes to raw materials, we get our supplies from the local market because
the prices are extremely reasonable. We obtain a supply of our product that is ready to
sell since we individually wrap and pack them every day so that we can provide fresh
and high-quality products to our consumers every time they purchase from us.

D. Production/Service Process and Controls

Step 1: Grind the sliced pumpkin with condensed milk and put it in a bowl.

Step 2: Place it in the freezer for 30 minutes for a better texture.

Step 3: Thinly slice the cheese and set aside.

Step 4: After 30 minutes of cooling down the ground pumpkin, place it on the table
and scoop around 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of it, and place it over a piece of lumpia
wrapper.

Step 5: Spread the filling, put 1 or 2 sliced cheese in between, sprinkle some sugar,
then fold both sides, roll up until completely wrapped. Fry until the wrapper turns golden
brown.

Step 6: Serve and pour some condensed milk.

Our product will be available in nearest stores located in the Caloocan Area and any
customer living outside our main branch can still afford the product through delivery with
the help of our delivery riders.

MARKET PLAN

4.1 Market Analysis


A. Target Market
Our target market is determined by what we see and where our store is
located. We've brought along some basic information about our potential customers.
Our target market includes children, the elderly, and those who pass through Camarin
Elementary School on their way to Almar Zabarte or Bagong Silang Caloocan. Those
that live in the vicinity of our store are another of our target markets. We don't have a
minimum age or gender requirement because we will let anyone of any gender or age to
sample and purchase our goods.

B. Competition
There are several shops that are selling foods especially merienda like our
business , here in our location there’s a near milk tea shop . In the Ateatude Milk tea
house, they don’t just sell tea but they also offer foods like siomai but these are not
direct competition for Vegie Turon’to, We sell different products . Our business focus on
the nutrious merienda craves. We produced an extraordinary substitute for traditional
turon. Our products are made in a healthy way that the customer will surely be satisfied
on the other hand the ateatude milk tea house focus more on their tea. Unlike us they
are not just selling merienda foods alone but they intend to deal with various products
related to bubbleteas, and they also provide services that match bubble tea and other
tea related business bubble.

C. Market Trend

In recent months, four out of five people have preferred to try new snacks rather than
sticking to old favorites. Based on our study in the field of our business, this percentage
has been quite consistent over the last few months.

D. Market Research

Our company's major goal is to promote healthy snacks to people of all ages, from
youngsters to the elderly, by providing them with nutritious, tasty, and most importantly,
affordable snacks. Many people are inquisitive about the flavor of our unique and
original product, and customers are returning to us with great feedback, distinguishing
us from other snack shops in our vicinity.

The marketing strategies we will use to introduce our product to people are
advertising, personal selling, and public relations.

In terms of advertising, our team will use mobile advertisement to get the word out
to the general public about our product. Our advertisement will be shared on Facebook
and Tiktok. Our team also ensures that our advertisement contains all of the necessary

4.3 Sales Strategies
Our company aims to provide a healthy and very affordable Veggie Turon and we
wanted to give every customer a discount up to 20% but it's limited time only. During
weekends since weekends sometimes are those days that everyone such as
student,elder and others are controlling their budget. A 20% discount could help our
lovely customers to provide their desires especially in healthy food like Veggie Turon.
4.4 Product/Service Characteristics or Features
Our product contains healthy ingredients such as milk, pumpkins, cheese, and
sugar. Our main ingredient pumpkins offer vitamins A, B1, B6, and C, as well as
copper, fiber, folate, and manganese, which are among the nutrients that protect and
strengthen the heart. Pumpkin is high in calcium, potassium, and magnesium, all of
which can help you maintain a healthy heartbeat and blood pressure. You will not be
disappointed with our product because, aside from not sparing our ingredients, we put
in a lot of effort into it and it is of high quality. Its flavor is fantastic for both children and
adults since, aside from the sweetness, you can taste the flavor of pumpkins.

4.5 Pricing Policy


Since our target market is students, seniors and individuals near our franchised
restaurant, our pricing strategy is more likely High-Low Pricing because we offer
discounts up to 20%. (High-Low Pricing is usually a small-medium retail firm and when
the product becomes less desirable, our product will probably offer a discount or can be
in through clearance sales). Our product has unique ingredients that every Turon may
not have. To become more realistic, we canvass and put the desirable price for each
product accordingly thus, we gather every receipt we receive so we can show everyone
their possible question about our product. Less spend, more fulfillness. Veggie Turon
costs 10P but can afford for as low as 8P!
