Hello everyone, I’m super excited to give you a new Studio


Ghibli pattern; this time No-Face!! This pattern consists of
the graph, the color block instructions & the written
instructions on how to create the No Face tapestry.

Materials Needed

o Crochet hook (I used a


3.75mm)

o Dowel rod

o Scissors

o Yarn, at least 3 colors (I


used sugar’n cream,
worsted 4ply, 2 skein
black, 1 skein white, 2
skein in orchid, 190 yrds
a skein) about a total of
680yrs -

Abbreviations:

o Ch = chain
o St = stitch
o Sts = stitches
o Sc = single stitch

Tips for following the graph:

o Start by following the grid right to left


(shown above with the blue arrow)
o Each box is 1 sc
o Make sure to keep all your ends on one side
of the panel -this way you have a good side
with no loose ends

Color block instructions

Color key:

White: background
Black: body
Cream/ ecru: mask
Orchid: markings on mask

Start by ch 71 in black, then


change to your background
color, ch 1 and turn

-at the end of each row, ch 1


and turn

When working up the rows


-it’s important to know
that all odd rows [RS]
should be facing you

[WS] means “wrong side”


-this will be facing you on
your even rows.

Note that the number


inside each box is the
number of sts in that color

For example: a white box


with the number “5”
means five sc in the color
white

instructions

Abbreviation key:

(BG) : background color


(Bod) : body color
(Msk) : mask color
(Mrk) : mask marking color

[RS] : right side facing you


[WS] : wrong side facing you (keep all
you loose ends and yarn carrying in
this side)

Start by ch 71 in black, then


change to your background
color, ch 1 and turn

-at the end of each row, ch 1

Border & dowel rod

Once you’ve finished your


last row, switch to your
border color, ch 1 & turn

Then sc through the first st,


At the corner, sc in the latest st, ch 2
ch 1, skip the next st, sc & ch
& sc back into that same corner st.

repeat this pattern across
Then, start following the same
skipping every other st & ch
pattern (from the first text) the side
1 after every st
evenly

Yarn over the dowel rod


Attach the dowel rod Then you will put your hook & pull through
by first yarning over under the ch st from your
the dowel rod & ch1 border (placed right after
that first sc st)

Then pull through Once you reached


(over the dowel rod) the last st you can
start making a
Ch 1 & repeat chain (of your
desired length) &
attach it to the
opposite end, then
fasten it off.
