FOREWORD
God put in place the redemption plan before He proceeded
with creation. This can be seen from Genesis chapters 1 and
2. Check out my book entitled “Creation from the Lens of
Redemption” at http://bit.ly/redeemedkw.
In this book, Genesis Chapters 3 to 11 are expounded to
reveal how the redemption plan was set in motion.
God wanted His Own family of beloved children to lavish
them with His love and provisions (Ephesians 1:5;
Galatians 4:4-5). His deepest desire has always been for
humanity to get to know and love Him (Hosea 6:6, Living
Bible).
God is Almighty. Yet, He cannot create love. Love cannot
be manufactured or forced. It must be voluntary. A
genuine loving relationship is established through trials and
tribulations.
The Omniscient God already knew that Adam would
disobey Him. Yet He created him to beget His family.
God is prepared to shoulder every responsibility for
nurturing us into a loving relationship with Him. It carries
a hefty price tag. The death of God the Son.
A friend in need is a friend indeed (Hebrews 4:16). A
friend who helps you when you really need help is a true
friend. What a friend we have in Jesus!

GOD IS LOVE
We do not get to know the perfect love of God under
perfect conditions. This is exemplified by Eve. It is evident
from her perception of God.
GENESIS 2:16-17 AMP- WHAT GOD SAID
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You
may freely (unconditionally) eat [the fruit] from every
tree of the garden; but [only] from the tree of the
knowledge (recognition) of good and evil you shall
not eat, otherwise on the day that you eat from it, you
shall most certainly die [because of your
disobedience].”
GENESIS 3:2-3 AMP- HOW EVE PERCEIVED GOD
And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit
from the trees of the garden (omitted freely and every),
except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of
the garden. God said, ‘You shall not eat from it nor
touch it (added by Eve), otherwise you will die.’”
Eve
ONE THING NEEDFUL
Satan directed Eve to look away from the abundant
blessings and focus on the one thing God kept away to
protect her.
Today, we look away from all that distracts to do the one
thing needful: Keep hearing the Word or teachings of and
about Jesus. Christ crucified is the demonstration of God’s
immense and unfailing love for us (Luke 10:38-42;
Romans 5:8, 10:17; 2 Corinthians 10:5; Hebrews 12:2).

Faith is the title deed of things hoped for and the evidence
of things not seen. This confidence is based on the love and
faithfulness of God (Hebrews 11:1).
Whatever is not from faith is sin (Romans 14:23). And sin
misses the mark (Proverbs 19:2). Therefore, the mark is to
trust God.
We can relate to that in our life. How can we be close to
someone we do not trust? Distrust disintegrate relationships.
We missed it when we choose to reject God and trust in
ourselves. Without God, the devil can deceive us anytime.
The way to outsmart the devil is to follow God's advice.

DECEIT & SEDUCTION
The Bible put on record that Eve was fooled. Adam was not
(1 Timothy 2:14). He was fully aware of the limit set by
God and the consequence of breaching it.
Limits serve as a form of discipline by God the loving
father. Do not despise God's discipline or instruction
(Proverbs 3:11; Hebrews 12:5).

We are for the Law for the reason the Law was given.
Lawlessness increases when one tries to keep the Law. It is a
paradox (Romans 7:15). The heart grows cold when one
attempts to keep the Law (Matthew 24:12).

L E T ' S R E D E E M
God put in place the redemption plan before He created
humans. This is the wisdom of God. It was necessary to
nurture us in love.
We see the manifested wisdom of God in Genesis Chapter
3. Adam handed over dominion of the earth to Satan. The
dire consequences of treason were unleashed on creation. In
the midst of declaring the ramifications, God announced the
redemption plan (Genesis 3:15-19).
Take Christ away from the Christian and we are left with "i
a n"; I am nothing. Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing"
comes to mind - "I have nothing if I don't have You".
In Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1).
In Christ, we are a New Creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
In Christ, we are the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians
5:21).
In Christ, we have redemption (Romans 3:24).
In Christ, we are given the grace of God (1 Corinthians
1:4).
In Christ, we are made alive (1Corinthians 15:22).
In Christ, we are reconciled and restored to favour with
God (2 Corinthians 5:19)
And the list goes on.
This explains 1 Corinthians 1:31, "Let the one who boasts
boast in the Lord". Apart from Christ, we can do nothing
for without love, we amount to nothing (1 Corinthians
13:2). Jesus is God and God is love. We love because He
first loved us (John 1:1; 1 John 4:8, 16).
Then
the Lord said to Cain,
“Where is Abel your
brother?” And he
[lied and] said, “I do
not know. Am I my
brother’s keeper?”
Genesis 4:9 AMP
The devil will flee from us when we resist him. Yet, there is
one sin we MUST flee from; sexual sin.
This is because every other sin a person commits is outside
the body but the sexually immoral person sins against his
own body. And the body is the temple of the blessed Holy
Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:15-19; 2 Timothy 2:22).
FALLEN NATURE
ROTTED
delighted!”
In the midst of the rebellion, God set the stage for calling
out one individual to keep the light of the Saviour burning.
Terah left Ur of the Chaldeans for Canaan. He brought
Abram, Sarai (Abram’s wife), and Lot (Terah’s grandson)
with him. However, Terah settled in Haran instead.
Terah means dove. Haran means hill. Hence, the dove
settled on the hill. It brings to mind two events:
1.Noah’s Ark rested on Mount Ararat. The Ark represented
Jesus. Ararat means the curse reversed; and
2.Jesus, indwelt with the blessed Holy Spirit, was crucified
(John 19:16, 30).
Terah is a picture of Moses. He stopped short of entering
the promised Land just as Terah (Deuteronomy 1:37).
Abram alluded to Christ Who would lead believers into the
rest from the penalty of sin (John 19:30).
The judicial case of sin was put to rest by Christ crucified.
God named Abram Abraham (Genesis 17:5). And Abraham
is the spiritual father of faith in God (Romans 4:16).
GOD'S SIGNATURE MOVE
Satan usurped the throne of the world from Adam with
disobedience. It was disobedience that ushered in sin to rule
the world. With that disobedience, God showed mercy to
the world (Romans 11).
The Jews rejected Jesus the Tree of Life. Consequently,
salvation came to the Gentiles who were once disobedient.
This caused the Jews to be jealous when they realised what
they have forfeited and they too want the same salvation.
What Satan meant as harm, God used it for good (Romans
8:28).
Satan imagined he could exterminate the promised Seed
with the Cross. Unbeknownst to him, it was the Cross that
crushed his head.
This was the mystery of God’ wisdom (Genesis 3:15; 1
Corinthians 2:8; Colossians 2:15). The Haman vs
Mordecai saga as recorded in the Book of Esther alluded to
it. Haman plotted against Mordecai, the Jew. He convinced
the king to set up the gallows with the malicious intent to
execute Mordecai. God stepped in. He turned the table
against Haman who was beheaded with the same gallows he
meant for Mordecai.
Adam was blameless when he committed treason. God sent
His Innocent Son to be punished. A blameless man
committed the crime. So an Innocent Man must be
punished. Apple for apple so to speak. But the death of
God’s beloved Son was an overpayment. Where sin
increased, grace surpassed it (Romans 5:20; Hebrews 10:8-
14, 22).
The blood of Jesus paid for the crime we committed
through Adam as well as our own transgressions; past,
present and future in addition to redemption from the curse
of the Law and the cleansing of a guilty conscience.

T H E G O S P E L
M E S S A G E
The message of the Gospel was hidden in Genesis Chapters
3 to 11.
God used names of people and places, imageries, and
typology to hide the mystery of salvation.
1 Corinthians 2:8 states that none of the rulers of the world
understood God's wisdom in crucifying His beloved Son.
The evil spirits recognized Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of
God (Luke 4:41). However, they did not know that His
death and resurrection would crush Satan's head and thereby
save all humanity from the penalty of sin. If they had
known, they would not have crucified Jesus of Nazareth.
Such unconditional and self-sacrificial love are beyond the
comprehension of the diabolical forces.

NAAMAH Sweet. Pleasant. Lovely
The word study was from Abarim Publications. I find this a
great resource. It not only traces the etymology of a word
but also provides different nuances of the meaning. More
importantly, it tells you how a Hebrew audience would
interpret the word. Since the Old Testament was written in
Hebrew, this is significant for a proper understanding of the
scriptures.
Can you spot the Gospel message? This is my take.
Get the teaching of fleeing to the smitten and despairing
Servant of God. He would be a conduit to carry out God's
justice as a sweet and pleasant aroma of sacrifice.

MESSIANIC LINE
The names of the Messianic line from Seth were provided in
Genesis 5:1-29.
Noah’s Ark was a type of Christ in that all the creatures and
Noah's family entered and departed by the side of the Ark.
The only door of the Ark was set at its side (Genesis 6:16).
The only source of salvation is Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).
The new creation is born of the water and the Spirit (John
3:5). It is a picture of the Church; the Body of Christ. Every
believer is member of the Body (Romans 12:5; Colossians
1:18).

THE HIDDEN MESSAGE
The Name refers to the promised Seed.
God the Father sent His beloved Son as the Healer (Mark

He is the Good Shepherd Who willingly laid down His life
for His sheep, the branches (John 10:11, 18; John 15:5).
