Valdivia earthquake :
On Sunday, May 22nd 1960, at 3:11 p.m., the most powerful earthquake recorded in the history of
mankind occurred.
The Valdivia mega earthquake had a magnitude of 9.5 and its epicenter was near Traiguén. It
a ected the Chilean territory between Talca and Chiloé. This is more than 400,000 square
kilometres of land.
A few minutes a er the main earthquake, all the coastal towns between Concepción and Chiloé
were devastated by a tsunami with 10 meters waves.

dedicated to celebrities who have made a signi cant impact on the entertainment
industry. In Hollywood, visitors can even take tours of popular movie studios. Stephanie
had a chance to visit Universal Studios, which produces her favourite lms.
