INTRODUCTION

The project titled


“ONLINE ORDER AND DELIVERY SYSTEM” Is
a web application. Usually we have ordered our pizzas
on phone for home delivery. The process seems easy to
use but at times there is miscommunication. As there is
no visual menu shown during a phone call, the worker’s
have to repeat a lot of things again and again to the
customers. It’s a time consuming process which at
times irritates customers. Also it takes a lot of time of
the Pizza staff. It would be much more comfortable for
the customers to have an online pizza ordering and
delivering system. It would be hassle free for users as
they can select the pizza’s they want and make cash on
delivery payment for it.
SCOPE OF THE SYSTEM
➢ User Friendly: Online Pizza Ordering and Delivering
System is a very user friendly project because the Pizza
Ordering Record and searching from categories is very
simple, fast and data is secured. The user interface of the
project is very simple.

➢ Order reports of the system can be easily generated. User


can generate the report of the orders. In this way they can
get delivery status of customers and get information about
what is being ordered.

➢ Very less paper work: Online Pizza Ordering and


Delivering System requires less paper work. In this project
all record is fetched directly into the computer and reports
can be generated through just a click. In this way it saves
time. As data is directly entered into computer so there is
no need to do any paper work.

➢ Computer operator control: Online Pizza Ordering and


Delivering is operated by the one admin so there is no
chance of clerical mistakes. Data feeding and retrieving in
this system is very easy. So the work can be done on time.
Pizza can be order in way that is more convenient.
➢ Payment can be easily done using cash on delivery (COD).
➢ It will make system very effective for ordering a pizza.
➢ Admin can update order status and user will be able to
track the order, which can be helpful for decision-making.
➢ Easy Add / Update / Delete process of pizza.
➢ Rich and attractive GUI
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

The main aim of this will be to sell Pizza online and


save time. In this project, customers can give order
from any place and pay cash on delivery or online. This
project provides information of customer details before
making order. This project is very helpful for customers
in ordering categoral pizza’s. In current system, we will
be integrating a single payment system, Cash on
delivery, but in future we will enhance it with online
payment system. When an order has been confirmed by
a customer, the order processing begins. Throughout the
order processing the order status will be updated and
the customer will be able to track the order, delivery
person’s name and Phone-No. New orders will shown
up in a list to the admin panel.
EXISTING SYSTEM
In the present system all work is done on paper. The order
report, food category and food are stored in register and at the
end of the session the reports are generated. We are not
interested in generating report in the middle of the session or
as per the requirement because it takes more time in
calculation.

DISADVANTAGES OF PRESENT WORKING


SYSTEM:

➢ Not User Friendly : The existing system is not user


friendly because the retrieval of data is very slow and
data is not maintained efficiently.
➢ Difficulty in report generating : We require more
calculations to generate the report so it is generated at the
end of the session.
➢ Manual control : All calculations to generate report is
done manually so there is greater chance of errors.
➢ Lots of paperwork : Existing system requires lot of paper
work.
➢ Loss of even a single register/record led to difficult
situation because all the papers are needed to generate
the reports.
➢ Time consuming : Every work is done manually so we
cannot generate report in the middle of the session or as
per the requirement because it is very time consuming.
FEASIBILITY STUDY
A feasibility study includes an estimate of the level of
expertise required for a project and who can provide it,
qualitative & quantitative assessment of their essential
resources, and identification of critical point, a general
timetable, and a general cost estimate. A feasibility study
means an analysis of a project to determine, if, it is practical
or not.

ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY STUDY


Economical feasibility considers the cost analyses of proposed
system. Economical feasibility is helpful to find system
development cost, it checks investigation cost, hardware and
software cost, training cost and maintenance cost. The cost
overheads include software and hardware maintenance cost,
operating costs that includes cost required for manpower,
electricity, stationary etc. The proposed system will provide
the right type of information at right time, and in the required
format. This will save time required for decision-making and
routine operations. Considering all these advantages, the cost
overheads of the system are negligible. So the system is
economically feasible.
OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY STUDY

The operation user of the system are expected to have


minimum knowledge of computer. The developed
webpage is simple to use, so that the user will be ready
to operate the system. The proposed system is
developed using PHP, MySQL which is a general-
purpose scripting language geared towards web
development. The well-planned design would ensure
the optimal utilization of the computer resources and
would help in the improvement of performance status

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT
➢ This project can be modified in future according to the
need of the administrator and users.

➢ This project can be used not only as the information


system but as the management system also only by
including some more management features and
modifications such as separate delivery boy module,
features like creating various options for payments etc.

➢ This project can also be made to work online by


providing the internet features and hence can be changed
to work as an Online Job Portal for the Delivery System
separately.
➢ Introducing app version of the Software.
