I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Understand the music of Africa and Latin-America.
b. Interpret the importance of music in Africa and Latin-America.
c. Classify the traditional and vocal African and Latin-American Instruments.
d. Generate the importance and influence of music in Latin-America.

C. Motivation
Task. The teacher will provide a short video clip and the teacher will call
someone to state his/her observation to the video by answering the guiding question.
Guided Questions:
1. In your own perception, what is the video all about?
2. What do you think is our next topic/lesson?
E. Application
Task. The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will make a POSTER
about the Music in Africa and Latin-America. They will be graded based on the rubrics
below.

F. Generalization
Task. Answer the following question based on their learnings. It should be an oral
recitation.
1. What are your main takeaways in our discussion?
2. By listening to the different types of music in Africa, I realized that?
IV. Evaluation
Task: The teacher will show different Instruments in Africa and Latin-America. Each
picture has a corresponding question behind it. Every correct answer of the learners will be given
corresponding points.
V. Assignment
Direction: In a Long bond paper. Landscape, draw at least 2 membranophones and 2
Idiophones with labels. Use the format bellowed.
