CHAPTER I

Introduction

Cleaning makes us fatigue sometimes just like the Street Cleaners who’s

cleaning in a public places such as streets. Street cleaning is a difficult job because

of the amount of mess that people also make. They maintain cleanliness and order

within the cities. Unsanitary littering can cause diseases, clogged drains, and

pollution. It also has a big impact on the cleaners who may be sick from exposure to

the dirt that can be found in the garbage and litters.

Cleaning the streets isn't just for appearance reasons. When dirt and debris

build up in your streets, gutters and curbs, there's a risk to the general public:

Sewers and drains blocked by leaves, garbage and other dirt can pose a flood risk.

Standing water and dirt is a breeding ground for insects, mold and bacteria.

BACKGROUND OF THE SCIENCE PROJECT

The street cleaners manually pick up the scattered garbage, which makes

them more prone to diseases, and with too many and large areas to clean, it causes

them too much fatigue which can also cause them to faint. Unpicked trash and

unclean garbage in a places can cause diseases and accidents on the road. Street

cleaners play an important role and help a lot so it is important that we help them by

providing a solution.

A vacuum cleaner, also known as a vacuum or a hoover, is one solution made

for faster cleaning, it is a suction device used to remove dirt from floors, upholstery,

draperies, and other surfaces. It is generally electrically driven.

But with a wide area to clean still it makes cleaners to be fatigue, and a vacuum

cleaner is a heavy equipment. With improvisation we can make and upgrade

something more efficient to use.

STATEMENT OF THE SCIENCE PROJECT

This study aims to present solution to the problem of litters around, which can

also benefit those who work in cities regarding this problem through the help of the

Vacuum Car.

3. How can the vacuum car help the community and environment?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SCIENCE PROJECT

Students- Students will have knowledge about this and know its importance for

us and the environment.

Teacher-Determine its importance and teach it to children.

School- A vacuum car can be used inside the school to help maintain

cleanliness.

Community- A vacuum car is intended for the use of environment to maintain

cleanliness and also gives benefits to those cleaners for ease of doing the task.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

This study is intended to make a simple solution about the problem from the

community, litters everywhere especially in urban places, to peoples in the

community, and a benefit to those cleaners who are doing their important role. By

making an efficient equipment for cleaning.

TECHNICAL DEFINITION OF TERMS

Vacuum cleaner is a device use for sucking litters. And improvisation is a

project for upgrade and making something more efficient. A combination of vacuum

cleaner and a car or called Vacuum Cleaner Car made by extending a vacuum to a

cab intendedly use for cleaning streets and public places especially use in urban

places.

CHAPTER II

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

A well-cleaned street is certainly an excellent business card for every

municipality. However today the sweeping service increasingly tends to achieve

objectives that go beyond simple urban decor. With the cleaning of public roads it’s

important to guarantee citizens suitable hygiene conditions of the environment in

which they live. Street sweeping offers a number of benefits, some of which are

cosmetic, some of which are environmental and some of which are social. There are

many benefits of cleaning streets.

First one is health we do know how is important the overall health of a

community, city or municipality. From the water we drink to the food we eat, and the

air we breathe. There are many hazardous materials should be clean on the streets

(example: soil, sediment, sand, and eroded rock from the weathering of bricks,

concrete, and asphalt from pavement and structures. This material is carried by

surface runoff, wind, vehicle track out from construction sites, unpaved roads, and

pavement abrasion from vehicular traffic, and litters.

Another benefit of street sweeping is the value of improving safety in the

neighborhoods of every community. In particular we shouldn’t overlooked. Public

safety: it should always be a primary concern for all residents as well as those

traveling through or visiting a community. The removal of roadside  debris reduces

the vehicle accidents rate and improves driver safety. Pedestrians, runners and

cyclists: construction and roadway debris can cause unsightly conditions as well as

objects and items to leak into streets or paved paths. If not swept routinely, these

items can become hurdles for pedestrians, runners, and cyclists to avoid which may

lead to accidents and injuries.

When thinking of street sweeping, it’s often thought about in the short-term;

however, when looked at through a different lens, street sweeping plays an important

part in preserving the environment around us for years to come. Pavement

protection: at the end of the day, street sweeping is about protecting and preserving

what we have now for the future. Establishing a routine sweeping schedule in your

community will help remove wearing debris and extend the life paved roads and

paths. Wildlife preservation: street sweeping helps eliminate the number of plastics

and litter that end up on the sides of roads and ends up harming local wildlife.

Environment: commonly unknown, but a critical benefit of street sweeping stems

from the removal of harmful metals and pollutants that can enter our air emissions.

By reducing the amount of road debris, street sweeping is helping to preserve our

local rivers, beaches, and air.

And the last one is appearances. Perhaps the most obvious benefit of street

sweeping is that it improves the aesthetic of your streets. By removing trash, stains,

debris and broken asphalt, a street sweeper allows a street to look cleaner and more

attractive. In contrast, a street which is never swept will collect trash and

residue. Nobody wants to look at something unpleasant, even if it’s just a street.

Regular street sweeping can improve the aesthetic of an entire neighborhood.

CHAPTER III

METHODOLOGY

Materials:

This is all the materials that have or use in invented a street wiper with a remote

control

•RC circuit board •9 volts Battery

• Popsicle stick •Fabric (as strainer)

•12 volts motor •Wire

•Bottle (as a tank)

Procedures:

Prepare all the materials

First make a toy car body made out off popsicle stick

Second put the 12 volts motor and set the programming remote board.

Third make a 4 wheels and

Fourth Make a vacuum

-cut the bottle in the middle

-attach the propeller to the motor and fix inside the bottle, then cover with fabric

-attach the other cut of the bottle and make a hose.

And last fix the car and vacuum together and connect the wires from the battery and

motor.

CHAPTER IV

DATA,RESULT AND DISCUSSION

DATA

The Improvised Vacuum Cleaner Car is important and necessary, aside from

efficient and effective for sucking litters and trashes, it also for suction of hazardous

materials that can affect to our health. And may use for environment preservation.

The benefits of having this equipment is an advantage to the community and worldwide,

to those cleaners and who are struggling just to clean the road. More efficient to use, give us

ease for cleaning the streets and public places.

RESULT

Using several materials I was able to make a good quality of a mini improvised Remote

Controlled Vacuum Cleaner Car .

DISCUSSION

The purpose of improvised vacuum cleaner is for cleaning sucking trash and debris. It’s a

model to make a bigger design use mainly in the street. Vacuum Cleaner Car provide ease to

clean and gives less effort to avoid over fatigue. Street Cleaners have will enjoy to their work.

CHAPTER V

SUMMARY,CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Summary

This project give importance to the job of Street Cleaners, as a help for them by

providing this simple solution for the ease of their job. Using a vacuum cleaner car is

more efficient than manually picking and sweeping the liters on the streets. And to

protect them from getting diseases from the garbage’s. This is part of the

development also for the quality of our lives.

Conclusion

This mini improvised vacuum car can be compared to as a model for a real

vacuum car where we can use to ride and clean the environment. The efficiency we

can have from this equipment is very helpful. More efficiency gives much ease.

Recommendation

I highly recommended to use this kind of equipment to help use to environment.
