Dear Grantee,

We wish to express our sincere congratulations on the Grant you have been awarded by the Italian
Government for the academic year 2022-2023.

We hope that your study experience in Italy will be productive and enjoyable and that you will return
home with an increased and valuable wealth of knowledge.

Please find below a list of useful instructions to help you throughout the next steps.

In order to accept the Grant you declare, under your responsibility, that you:

are duly informed that the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has
the right to suspend the Grant if the Grantee does not meet the expectations regarding the
academic performance or an appropriate behavior;
are duly informed that the grant is meant to help cover the expenses of your stay and study in
Italy, according to the validity and the funding period of the grant awarded, as indicated in the
“Dichiarazione di Assegnazione di borsa di studio” (Awarding Letter);
are duly aware that the grant will be paid only if you actually enter and stay in Italy to attend
academic courses, exclusively for the periods that you spend on the Italian territory, even if
you should have the option to follow online classes and although the Italian and/or your local
government might change and restrict travel rules regarding the entrance to Italy,
are duly aware that the Grant will not cover any study periods abroad;
are duly informed and accept the terms of payment in quarterly installments;
are duly aware that the installments will be transferred by or after the end of the quarter and
after receipt of the enrollment certificate issued by the Italian University /Institution indicated
in the “Dichiarazione di assegnazione di borsa di studio” (Awarding Letter);
have sufficient financial resources to cover the expenses connected to your life in Italy at least
until the end of the first quarter of your scholarship;
are not contemporarily beneficiary of any other Grants sponsored by the Italian Government or
any other Italian public institution;
are duly informed that for most university courses, pre-registration is required through the
Universitaly portal (https://www.universitaly.it/index.php/ )
are duly informed that failure to comply with these commitments will result in forfeit of Grant
payments;
are duly aware that after your Graduation or end of your studies, you are no longer entitled to
the payment of the Grant

Moreover, you declare to be committed to the following terms:

to strive to meet the academic goals you were selected for;


to duly notify the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of any need
of leaving Italy during the period of the Grant program;
to send, via email to borsedistudio@esteri.it as soon as possible, after your arrival in Italy, the
following documents:

1. The Self-Declaration Affidavit (Modulo di Dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione per


vincitori di borsa), duly filled, dated and properly signed, which is available at
https://studyinitaly.esteri.it/it/node/53 ;
2. Copy of your valid passport;

to send any other documentation that the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation might request;
to be aware that renunciation of the Grant after its acceptance will subsequently imply the
exclusion from future calls for applications for Grants awarded by the Italian Government. The
renunciation must be notified by means of a signed letter to the relevant Italian Diplomatic
Mission and to borsedistudio@esteri.it

You hereby authorize the use of personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679)

I ACCEPT I DECLINE

The lack of confirmation within 7 days from this notification will be considered as an
implicit withdrawal from the Grant program.

After sending the acceptance online, you shall inform the Italian Embassy in your country
of origin about the University you will attend and the course you will pre-enroll/enroll to.
Moreover you need to confirm the period of the grant (starting from November 1st 2022).
You will receive from the Italian Embassy the “Dichiarazione di assegnazione di borsa di
studio” (Awarding Letter), the official document certifying the awarding and the lasting
period of the grant (validity of the grant). If you come from non-EU countries, the
awarding letter is also necessary in order to apply for your VISA and, after your arrival in
Italy, for the “Residence Permit” (Permesso di soggiorno).
