What is the slogan/poster all about?

The slogan is purely about promoting inclusivity in school. It raises concern
that school’s learning environment should be a place for all students with or without
learning or physical disabilities, diversity in religion, values, culture, or skin color is not
a hindrance for students to never attend school. It also conveys message for teaching
everyone that all types of students are treated fairly, eliminating discrimination and
humiliation for those they consider different physical and mentally. A school, its
internal and external stakeholders and everybody else should foster belongingness
and should cater all students into their care. The slogan also pinpoint emphasis on
inclusive education in the Philippines, as Filipino citizens continue to organize events
highly needed for the students. Education promotes equality on different organization,
best observe in school, enabling social relationships and interactions. Disabilities are
opportunities not a hindrance for the students to pursue and explore different career.

Discuss the following questions comprehensively

1. As a future teacher, how will you influence the class interactions considering
the students’ individual differences in terms of disabilities and giftedness?

By facilitating different activities that maximizes students’

communication and socialization skills. Class interactions can be done
through letting them work together in one learning task. Group activity is the
beginning of knowing each students’ individual differences, it’s a way where
they can sense all on their own that they have diverse perspective and that does
not stop them to work together in harmony. I must also incorporate discussion
where the students do understand what disabilities and giftedness means.
Divert disabilities into abilities where students can enhance their capabilities
into something that is extraordinary and how they can use their gift which will
help them soon. Establishing a learning environment with strong ground of
interactions to understand disabilities and shall use gift in notable and
outstanding means featuring one’s understanding individual differences. As
they say, individual differences are not a hindrance for the students not to
achieve acceptance and belongingness in a classroom setting not disrupting
interactions between each other.

2. What strategies will you use to maximize the benefits of diversity in the
classroom?

I think by getting to know each other, ensuring that at the first day of
school, I should let students introduce themselves, sayeth their personal
background, learning styles, hobbies and what makes them unique as this will
establish trust and allows me to form a bond with them so they could feel
valued which will make them comfortable talking with and respect each other
in class. Second, acknowledge and respect each other, allowing students to

learn different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds and beliefs does creates a safe
place for discussion that will likely promotes sense of belonging, mutual
respect, and values each other’s opinions and differences. Third, give students
the freedom and flexibility, letting students explore their strengths and
understanding in multiple ways, holding all students to high expectation. Lastly,
maintain consistent communication, this can hep identify issues or ways to
improve the overall experience, a good sense of communication can monitor
students progress individually when possible and it builds a strong relationship
with the students.

3. What dispositions and traits will you need as a future teacher to meet the needs
of the learners?

For me being patient is the no. 1 trait I will be needing as I will deal with
different learners with diverse learning styles, different cultural background,
and various intellectual abilities because teaching can be difficult and
frustrating at times. Second, critical thinking because teachers like me in the
future do analyze and evaluate what we have, determine what we need and
decide how and when to assess our students’ progress. Critical thinking is
highly needed to satisfy students queries. Third, being enthusiasm towards
teaching, loving this profession will encourage me to move forward and not to
give in despite the challenges that may try to hinder. Fourth, strong
communication skills because we, teachers need to be a good communicator
as we need to interact with our students to establish good relationship with
them and achieve effective and positive learning environment. Fifth, care about
students, help them when they are struggling academically, motivate them then
when they are physical exhausting, and encourage them when they are mentally
drained because a teacher should have a genuine compassion that cares for
students without thinking for an exchange. Sixth, creatin pedagogy, lesson
plans, assignments, test, field trips and incentives for learning needs a through
and well-establish plan. Creative instruction materials keep students from
getting bored in fact teachers must be creative to come up with ways of
adapting plans to the different learning styles of the students. Lastly, being
organized so students can decipher lesson very well, can follow with the
content matter and so students will not be confused at all.
