Introduction
The UAE's excellent economic climate has spawned a slew of businesses in various areas. In the
Middle East, Emirates Airlines is one of the largest and most profitable airlines. As a result, it
was classified as the second most punctual airline in the region for 2018. Founded in Dubai, the
United Arab Emirates, Emirates has long been known for its spacious cabins and friendly staff.
With just two planes in 1985, the airline has evolved into the world's largest fleet of Airbus A380
and Boeing 777 aircraft. As one of the few carriers in the world to operate exclusively wide-body
aircraft, Emirates stands apart from the crowd.

One of its most notable features is its complimentary chauffeur-driven transportation service in
over 75 cities worldwide. Over 161 destinations across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the
Middle East, and the Pacific can be reached by Emirates' fleet. (Abdulrahman Al-Aal, 2010)

The airline industry plays a crucial role in boosting the tourism and travel business. It is an
essential aspect of the hospitality and tourist industry, and Emirates airlines are no exception.
The report reflects on the leadership perspective of Emirates Airlines. This study illustrates how
Emirates Airlines' organizational performance is affected by different leadership styles. There
were different types of leadership examined in this research, and that was because of the
limitations of the time allotted for each of them.

Analysis
Emotional Intelligence
It is the ability to detect and understand others' feelings and intentions and then use this
information to resolve any conflicts that may emerge. An effective leader's ability to inspire and
engage his or her workforce is often credited to their level of emotional intelligence. One of the
primary reasons for studying this area is that it has yet to be thoroughly investigated due to the
novelty of the concept.

Emirates airlines can implement emotional intelligence by promoting social skills, empathy
within employees, self-awareness, and self-regulation.
Social Skills
Emirates can improve social skills within the employees by conducting workshops that include
activities that engage them to interact with each other. The employees should be provided with a
complimentary box at the end of the workshop. The employees should be encouraged to pass
compliments to each other. This would help improve the social skills of employees.

Empathy
Emirates airlines can promote emotional intelligence by promoting empathy. The airlines can
create content that promotes posters to respect each other and always be an active listeners.

Self-awareness

The most crucial step to promote emotional intelligence in employees is to identify potential
issues; a 360-degree feedback approach might be used. Assessments that include input from
supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates are frequently eye-opening. Asking trusted coworkers
can be a low-key solution. Emirates Airlines can keep monthly feedback of employees within the
same department. Self-awareness promotes leadership skills within the employees.

Implementation of Leadership Theories


Contingency Theory on Emirates Airlines
For example, a leader's performance is dependent on whether or not they have the right
leadership style for a particular context, according to the contingent theory of leadership.
According to this notion, one person can be an excellent leader in one situation and an
ineffective leader in another.

Emirates airlines can send out coworker scale surveys to their employees. This would help the
organization manager identify the highly preferred coworker leader; this would reflect on the
employees who are skilled in conflict management and consider multiple factors. With the help
of this theory, emirates airlines will be able to have a realistic view of the management and
organization. As Emirates Airlines is widely known for its innovation, this leadership style
would provide leverage and would lead to a creative yet innovative management leadership style.
A behavioral theory of leadership
It is assumed that the attributes of behavioral leadership may be learned and adopted by other
leaders, which is the focus of the behavioral leadership theory. According to what is known as
the "style theory," leaders can be developed via the application of specific, teachable behaviors.

This leadership is of great benefit for Emirates Airlines because it is a technical industry, and
people can learn from the mistakes of the managers that worked previously in the workplace to
avoid future complications. To implement this leadership style, the managers in each department
of Emirates Airlines should be directed towards Emirates Airlines' shared goals and objectives.
This would promote the same behavior by each manager resulting in more excellent management
skills in the organization. Employees of Emirates Airlines, for example, will be happier and more
positive if their managers show more significant concern for their well-being.

Recommendations
Emirates Airline's values are leadership skills, innovation, reliability, and agility. The following
recommendations should be made to their values to improve the organization's performance.

 Being empathic towards each other: Emirates Airlines should promote values of empathy
on their social media and organization, as it is one of the most diverse cross-cultural
organizations. This would help promote understanding among the employees.
 Values of positive reinforcement: Managers at Emirates Airline focus on the good aspects
of employees' behavior. This may train the staff to consistently perform at a high level by
recognizing and praising them when they do a good job.
 Values of humility: Managers can find ways to encourage the staff to be more helpful in
the daily operations of Emirates through humility in the workplace. The desire and
willingness of employees to go out of their way to help a coworker can be increased by
fostering humility through openness and honesty, for example.
 Values of resilience: After the pandemic, this value would help the managers to maintain
better and more realistic expectations from their employees. Emirates Airlines can
develop improved communication, and the tasks can be handled effectively without any
challenges.
Leadership Style Influences
1. The theory of contingency of leadership in Emirates Airlines will emphasize employee
pleasure, and teamwork will lead to a better degree of respect from the team. Employee
growth and decision-making can be enhanced, trust can be fostered, and future leaders
can be developed due to its use.
2. Whereas the behavioral theory will provide managers with opportunities to study and
choose what activities to implement to become the type of leader they choose to be. The
behavioral leadership theory will aid managers in focusing on their actions and making
good use of their judgments to be excellent leaders.

Conclusion
As a result of Emirates Airlines' diverse management systems, their trained, ardent, and
enthusiastic employees can supply exceptional services and products to their customers. Emirates
Airlines has proven that it can influence the organizational behavior in ways other than just
salary and benefits. An audit of the organization's actions would be beneficial.
