Scenario 1: 15 points
Level 3 BSN students of PHINMA AU is currently conducting a community diagnosis to
Barangay Bitas, Cabanatuan City. They were able to collate the data and now identifying the
what should be prioritized. In their finds, they found out that due to the heavy rains brought by a
typhoon for almost a week, some areas of the barangay are flooded for 4 days and there are
reports of dengue cases for all ages. The researchers also found out that the reason for flooding
are clogged water drainage due to plastic waste. The researchers claim that this case of problem
is highly preventable by clean up drive in the drainage system and modifiable and recognized as
urgent community concern

In relation to the scenario 1, the researchers also identify as problem is the lack of food and
medicine due to the closure of supermarkets and other stores. The researches claimed this is as
an urgent community concern and that lack of food and medicine is highly preventable by
stocking up goods and emergency supplies prior to the occurrence of typhoon as news are
featuring weather reports. This is also a highly modifiable problem by negotiating with the LGU
for giving out relief goods.

Scenario 3: 15 points
For almost a week heavy rains that resulted in stagnant water from floods, there are children
who finds resilient to the situation and enjoys playing and swimming in the flood. However,
mothers have reported high fever, chills, red eyes, jaundice days after their children swam in
the flood. The nurses suspect that these are cases of leptospirosis. The nurses recognized this
as urgent community concern, highly preventable and moderately modifiable.
