COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course shall have students craft travel stories by conducting pre-trip and on-the-road research, knowing the latest travel trends, doing effective interviewing techniques, and article

editing. Students will also have to compose travel stories out of photographs through preparing the tools needed for the shoot and acquiring the skills needed in travel photography. Students
will also compose newspaper, magazine and blog articles involving travel and tourism and learn how to advertise them.

COURSE POLICIES
General:
● Smartphones or any gadgets must be in silent mode when in class.
● Avoid unnecessary noise in your learning area.
● Attendance policies will still be observed.

○ Follow institutional/departmental policies before reporting to class when tardy or absent during the previous meeting.
○ Absences incurred for 1 day will require a letter from parent or guardian through email.
○ Absences incurred 2 days and above, if sick, will have to submit a letter with an attached medical certificate and letter via email.
● Requirements are to be submitted on or before the deadline.
● Requirements submitted after the set deadline are considered late but must not be on or after the institutional deadline of submission of grades for the term.
● Courtesy and respect must be strictly observed.
● Other institutional or departmental policies must be observed at all times during class hours.
Online Classes:
● Dress appropriately. Be presentable in every online meeting and video conference calls.
● Students will have both off- and on-screen learning activities. Resources include links to videos, scanned materials to read and engage with, independent research material, reading
materials including ebooks.
● Students are encouraged to be proactive in reaching out to their professor when they have questions or assignments that may need further clarification.
● Individual online requirements or assignments are due each week. Students are required to complete all assignments on or before the deadline, and to actively participate in class
discussions online as scheduled by their professor.
● Students must participate in class activities as posted on the LMS weekly or as announced via email/messenger account. Every day, students must:
○ Check their Schoology Account for updates on notes and homeworks.
○ Check the class discussion forum for new material and new responses.
○ Check email/messenger account for other notices.
● Students will be responsible for material/content assigned by any of these methods.

Posting & Replying to Messages or Comments:
● Post a note to the whole group if your question is about something the whole group should know (assignments, instructions, due dates etc.).
● Send a note only to your teacher if you want to talk about something that doesn’t relate to everyone.
● Do not post questions or comments about personal issues or topics. Keep private information private.
● Keep your conversations on topic.
● If you’re not sure if a word, joke, or image is okay, then it’s probably not. DO NOT write posts that tease, bully, annoy, spam, or gossip about any other person.

● Do not use txt language. Avoid word shortcuts (e.g. I am ur tcher…show me that u have lrnd how 2 spell).
