another one that has no hydrosphere.
Activity modified from https://science.nasa.gov/earth-system-bottle
Materials needed: cutter, 2 L or 1.5 L plastic bottle, cutter, tape, 5 seeds of mongo (if not
available you can use pechay seeds or string beans seeds), water, soil
Procedure:
1. Cut the plastic bottle into two using a cutter. Be careful in cutting.
2. Put three cups of soil in the bottom part of the terrarium.
3. Water the soil and make sure that all of the
soil gets wet. Plant the seeds in the soil.
4. Insert the upper part of the bottle on top and
make sure it fits securely. Make sure the lip/top is still on the bottle.
5. Tape the top and bottom sections together to make an airtight seal.

Title of the Activity: SDGs INTEGRATION: MY HOME GARDEN

Most Essential Learning Competency: Explain that the Earth consists of four
subsystems, across whose boundaries matter and energy flow.
K to 12 BEC CG: S11/12 ES-Ia-4

Directions: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations aims

to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote
sustainable agriculture. To address this goal, make your home garden to have quality food
for a healthier life after how many weeks of planting. Plant vegetables that are fast-growing
for quick harvests like Chinese white cabbage (pechay), radish, green onions, or spinach.
Take photos while planting, watering the plants, and harvesting. Identify the systems
interacting in your home garden. Make also a dish of your harvested vegetables and take a
photo of it. You can ask for the help of any family member in doing the task. Please take
note that this activity will last for a month. To present your output choose one from the
options. Remember to include in your presentation the systems interacting in your home
garden.
1. Create a video presentation using the TikTok application and upload it on your
Facebook. You can create multiple videos to present all your outputs since TikTok is
allowed for one minute presentation only.
2. Make a journal entitled “The Journey in Making My Home Garden”.
3. Print your pictures with caption while doing the task and compile it in your portfolio.
