    Safety Precautions For Maintenance Work


    Nature of Work :- Dismantling and Assembly of Machine

    1 Wear appropriate PPE before starting the work .

    Ensure that the machine has been powered down and

    isolated .
    Isolate the mechanical or Hydraulic or pneumatic sources of

    the machine before start the work .
    If the machine is operated by Hydraulic or Pneumatic
    4 energy ,then discharge the potential or stored energy before
    start the work .

    5 After isolation keep the key with for the safe working .

    Keep the suitable fire extinguisher or sand bucket near ,if

    welding or gas cutting operation will be took place .
    Use the Material handling equipment or Lifting tools or Screw

    jack for safe and easy working .
    Thoroughly study the working of the machine .Types of

    Hazards and its consequences before start the work .
    If there will be the chance of major risk , then talk with your

    seniors or boss for its solution .
    Rotating parts are properly lock as there will be the chance of

    accident.
    During the lifting of any machine or machine parts by crane,
    11 ensure that the capacity of sling or belt or wire rope is more
    than the weight of the load .

    After assembly of the machine, check the working area for the

    spreading of used materials or tools.

    13 Then open the LOTO and start the panel.

    After successful trial of the machine, handover the key to the

    machine operato .
