River Carnival in Kampung Telaga Tujuh

On 2 June, Kampung Telaga Tujuh was a hive of activity. There was a sense of excitement.
The villagers were gathered at the community hall for the River Carnival project. The aim of
the carnival was to educate the people on the importance of clean rivers. The carnival also
aimed to teach the villagers the value of working together to clean up the rivers.
The carnival kicked off at 9.00 a.m. and ended at 6.00 p.m. Many fun-filled activities were
held. These included a river clean-up activity, planting of shrubs and entertainment
programmes.
The objective of the river clean-up activity was to remind people that rivers cannot be
treated as dumping grounds. People must stop polluting rivers with household and industrial
wastes. They should not dispose their rubbish carelessly. They should have the civic sense to
maintain the cleanliness of rivers.
Rivers should also be appreciated for their beauty. A dirty river breeds Aedes mosquitoes
which can cause a dengue outbreak and other diseases. It is also an eyesore and the stench can
be unbearable. A river clogged up with rubbish will emit a foul odour.
On the other hand, a clean river beautifies the surroundings. People can have picnics or go
for leisurely strolls along the river bank.

HAVING A HAPPY FAMILY

Family is a great part of every human life. Every man is incomplete without
a family. Family plays a significant role in human life. A family is like a tree; there
are many stems in the tree. Same as a man life, there are so many relations in a
family such as parents, wife, and children who live together in one same house

Family members share stories and secrets with each other. It makes the
members closer to each other. A good family is important for the society because
the real family makes a good community and a good society makes a good
country.

Everyone wants a good family, where all family members understand each
other better. As a good member of the family, we should care for each other.
Should any problem happen to any other family member, we should not take it for
granted and we have to support each other.

Behind a happy man is a supportive family who would always have his
back. A happy man will work happily, his behaviour will be better, and he usually
tends to be responsible towards the society and nation.

Therefore, it is undeniable that having a good family is the root to all the
happiness in this world!
