It has been a long 2 years without a Musical gracing the stage at River-
side. 2 years of enjoying the entertainment of the practiced steps, not
being struck in awe by hearing the incredible voices, marveling at the
mastery of sound and lighting, being amazed at how a set can fly in and
out so quickly in a blink of an eye and relishing in the moments a Musical
can transport you to another time and place.

Riverside Theatre is proud to present our Welcome Back to Musicals -the

incredible show - SHREK THE MUSICAL!

With this show an amazing group sprang into action! Mr. Bram Smith
taking the helm once again to bring the music to life with his award-
winning skills and amazing Pit Orchestra. Linda Cirba coming on to the
team bringing years of experience and talent to help guide voices and
bring out their very best. Diane K Brown who I would be devastated if
we did not have her talents to guide our Costume crew and sewing
knowledge! Damon Wright turned the insanely complicated Set Plans
into manageable Construction Days alongside the man with the wealth of
experience who has helped with every single one of Riverside's shows -
Bill McDonald.

Coming in to support the show in any way possible were the beyond awe-
some Theatre Boosters (I am the luckiest Drama Director ever to have
them!), the incredibly supportive Ram Fam Admin Team (Rose Fraze
you are one in a million!), the always helpful with a smile bookkeeper
Charlene Mosesso, Hector and Bladmir of Riverside and their crews, and
last but most certainly not least, all of the parents of cast, crew, and PIT
who jumped in to volunteer their time and talents to the show! (Big
shout out also to Mr. Smith - Bram Smith's Dad - who shares his own
talent in our Musicals - in the PIT playing- your rock Sir!) We thank you
all!

Speaking of amazing people who have jumped in to help - we have some

more amazing parents and adults who have been invested and involved
with Riverside Theatre for years - who came onto this production with
gusto! Christine David, Sharin Footen, Kristie McDonald, Christy Stuart,
and Angelo Santos (welcome back!!) and many more who we could not
have done this show without!

Knowing we wanted the best for our students I started pulling in some
highly skilled and knowledgeable folks to help - from my past student
(who is excelling in Theatre at his acclaimed college) Jack Darnell, past
co-worker (who helped me on countless shows at Briar Woods so she
knows her Musicals) - Diana Crittenden -and my own Award-Winning
Choreographer daughter, Caitlin Gilligan.

And no Riverside production can be what it is without the photography

mastery of our very own Larry Wharton!

Now we were ready for the most important group- the group all of us
were doing this show for - the students!

Positions were created to allow the students to step into leadership role -
as well as taking part in Design elements! (And they truly rose to the oc-
casion - we all could not be prouder of them!) Now we were set, we had
our cast, our crew, and our PIT - it was everything we hoped it would
be! 2 long years, but we were fully back into creating an immense big
name, big production, Musical!

And I am not just talking about a set that took over 14 days of construc-
tion to build (including class time from all theatre classes) - complete
with a 20-foot rotating stage and multiple insanely heavy interchangea-
ble design elements. I am tired. We all are tired.

So, settle in - very soon it will be time for Ryder to dim the lights, Aadi to
bring up the mics, Mr. Smith to raise his hands, Marcely and Ben to cue
the first stage rotation, the tech crew to move into place, the cast to take
a last sip of water, the PIT to take a deep breath for the first note, then
Riverside Theatre, Moon River productions, will take you on Shrek's in-
credible journey to a Big Bright Beautiful World! Thank you for coming
