    When you learn this way, it puts the focus
    on each individual note instead of first
    "mapping" out the piano. If you want to

    Know these 8 notes really well by reading &


    playing songs that only use these 8 notes

    IMPORTANT NOTE: this method only works if you spend time first
    learning to instantly know these 8 notes. Otherwise they just become
    more notes to memorize. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP!

    This will build a MAP of the keys in your brain that will
    allow you to read ALL the notes faster instead of just
    each individual note.

    Know the DISTANCES between notes to read


    NEW NOTES

    By this point you should be really good at *instantly*


    recognizing and knowing how to read and play the 8 notes
    mentioned in steps 1- 2.

    From here you learn to identify the specific


    distance between the notes. There are 4 distances
    that are crucial to know!

    This way, when you are reading new notes, instead of


    trying to read an individual note, you are reading the
    notes as they relate to each other. This continues to
    build the MAP of the keys in your brain, making note
    reading easier and faster.
