HARM
Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006
In relation to Aboriginal Cultural Heritage, harm includes to:
• Damage,
• Deface,
• Desecrate,
• Destroy,
• Disturb,
• Injure, or
• Interfere with Aboriginal cultural heritage
These are listed in full within Part 2 of CHMP 12192 and within the within the
Cultural Heritage Induction Booklet.
Contingencies
In accordance with Section 61 of the Aboriginal Heritage At 2006, a CHMP
must consider contingency plans in relation to disputes, delays and other
obstaclse that may affect the conduct of the activity. The contingencies listed
below are presented in Part 2 of CHMP 12192 and within the Cultural Heritage
Induction Booklet and include:
• Section 61 matters;
• Regarding Dispute Resolution;
Discovery of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage / Other Cultural Heritage;
• Unexpected Discovery of Human Remains;
• Reporting the Discovery of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage During the Activity
• Removal, Curation, Custody and Management of Aboriginal Cultural
Heritage (Artefacts) Discovered During the Activity; and
• Compliance with the CHMP
Salvage and Compliance with Management
Conditions
In accordance with CHMP 12192, an
archaeological salvage was completed by
Archaeological & Heritage Management
Solutions (VAHR Report 4739) in 2015, meeting
the requirements of the CHMP. This includes the
required surface salvage and associated
activities associated with Aboriginal place VAHR
7822-3707 (Rockbank North Rim Site Complex).
