    Dear Recipient Name:

    I am writing to apply for the position of Teacher for Deaf/Hard of Hearing in Klamath
    Falls. Or. After reviewing my enclosed resume, I hope that you can see from my
    extensive experience and college education, I can greatly add to the staff and assist with
    the education of deaf students in and around Klamath county that is very much needed.

    I have been in education for the past seventeen years. During those years, I have been
    involved in numerous trainings and workshops that have helped with my professional
    development in the field.

    I would like to list my most important skills during these years.:

    1. Seven of my years have been employed with the Early Childhood Intervention
    program in Klamath Falls serving as a Paraprofessional in the classroom.
    Under the direction of the classroom teacher, I assisted with planning,
    developing and instructional, behavioral, and therapeutic activities for
    children with special needs.
    2. Ten of my years have been working as a Sign Language Facilitator for
    SOESD (Southern Oregon Education District). I am currently still employed
    here. My role is to facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing
    students and classroom teachers, administrators, peers and other school staff. I
    am also part of the education team of the student being served.
