1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First, I would like to thanks my God in order to help me to achieve this
article review. Second I would like to express My deepest
appreciation and heart full thanks to our Instructor: Dr. Rinesh for
giving this chance and his helpful lectures throughout the class time.
I also grateful thanks to the department heads of Computer science
and Institute of Technology directors for giving us the opportunity
by open this program.

2. INTRODUCTION

A multimedia project is a classic software project which is

developed using multimedia technology with the specific aim of
distributing information in an entertaining and compelling manner.
Multimedia projects require creativity, artistic as well as
programming skills. While developing the multimedia application,
the professionals have to choose the hardware and software
equipment and components a variety of software tools are
available. Like all other projects, the multimedia project is also
developed in stages.
Any significant multimedia project involves a core team that
includes: producer, writer, and director, who work with other
personnel, such as, programmer, photographer, videographer, and
voiceover artists.

4 ASSIGNMENT 2: - Multimedia Project and It’s Stages

Multimedia project planning is a complex problem Any significant

multimedia project involves a core team that includes: producer,
writer, and director, who work with other personnel, such as,
programmer, photographer, videographer, and voiceover artists
Close coordination between these team members is essential. The
Multimedia Design and Planning Pyramid (MUDPY) is a five-level
model in which the top three levels comprise the project planning
process. The planning process should begin by articulating a clear
Concept statement, and then expand it into Goals and
Requirements.
3. ABSTRACT
The research reported in this article began as a staff development
project in which teachers of Grades 3–11 produced multimedia
projects, conducted a similar project in their own classes, and
showed their students’ projects at a conference. Researchers acted
as participant observers, providing technical support as the students
carried out their multimedia projects. Research questions focused
on attitudes toward science and multimedia projects, gender
differences in attitudes and expertise, and the process of students
taking responsibility for their own learning. Data for this qualitative
study represented 3 points of view: teachers, students, and research
staff. Findings include the following: (a) Most students preferred
this kind of project to a term paper, except in one school, where
multimedia was “old hat”; (b) students and teachers reported that
students had learned a number of skills besides science and
computing, including dependability, organization, and interviewing;
(c) both girls and boys appeared to like computers and doing
multimedia science projects, and both were active participants and
class experts; and (d) eventually almost all students took
responsibility for learning and kept commitments to their groups,
and many worked beyond the regular classroom hours.

6 ASSIGNMENT 2: - Multimedia Project and It’s Stages

Let we Look Each Step one by one

4.1 PROJECT CONCEPTUALIZATION

Every project begins with a concept. A multimedia project concept

is actually the definition of the project. To define the project, it is
required for the development team and the clients to do the
various meetings and discussions to identify the actual problem. It
may be the upgradation of the existing one or the entirely new one.
It must satisfy the existing requirements of the customer.
4.2 PLANNING AND COSTING

In this stage, the analysis of the idea is done which is to be

translated into a multimedia project. This idea can be further
refined by outlining its messages and objectives. Before starting to
develop the multimedia project, it is necessary to plan what writing
skills, graphic art, music, video, and other multimedia skills will be
required. It is also necessary to estimate the time needed to
prepare all elements of multimedia and prepare a budget
accordingly. After preparing a budget, a prototype of the concept
can be developed..
4.3 DESIGN AND PRODUCTION

Once the project is taken up for development, the laborious project

development cycle starts. Under this stage, the various sub-stages
are to be carried out.
• Data gathering
• Navigation map structure design
• Media content design
• Interface designing
• Storyboarding

• Integration (multimedia authoring)

4.4 TESTING

In every project, the Testing stage ensures that the product to be

free from bugs. Apart from bug elimination, another aspect of
testing is to ensure that the multimedia application meets the
objectives of the project. It is also necessary to test whether the
multimedia project works properly on the planned delivery
platforms and meets the needs of the clients.
4.5 DELIVERY

The final stage of the multimedia application development is to

pack the project and deliver the complete project to the end-user.
This stage has several steps such as:
• Implementation,
• Maintenance,
• Shipping and marketing

5 CONCLUSION

By promoting multimedia projects, educators believe that pupils

learn expertise and skills which prepare them for functioning in the
real world (Simkins, 2000). In my classes, they provided an
interesting and stimulating way of learning. Some pupils, who had
complained at the beginning, eventually admitted to enjoying the
project. Pupils also said that they had learned a lot of information
about their topic. The conclusion of one
