Description A survey of general principles underlying the effects of toxic substances on biological systems,
including consideration of the history, scope and applications of toxicology, toxicant exposure,
the mechanisms of toxic action, and some major types of toxicants.

Pseudoassignment: Toxicity assessment by probit analysis — 0 marks
Assignment #2: Risk calculations — 7½ marks
Assignment #3: Toxicological summary for an environmental contaminant — 15 marks
Assignment #3 will be submitted digitally via email attachment.
