    Sex Education Programme for Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy In the City of Manila

    INTRODUCTION: (MONTIVEROS)

    Early pregnancy is already one of the pressing issues of Filipino youths in the City of
    Manila, especially today that we are facing a pandemic that we need to be quarantined for
    months. Early childbearing may result in bad health effects and can be a threat to the country’s
    economic growth. Pregnant adolescents are less likely to finish higher education and have
    lesser capacity to earn more income over the course of a lifetime, inflicting economic losses to
    the country. This is a problem that must and should be addressed as soon as possible, and
    we're here to advocate for having sex education in Manila since Manila has the largest number
    of teenage pregnancies in our country. This study will therefore help teenagers to realize and to
    be more open-minded in sex education in Schools in Manila. The desired outcome of the
    experiment should be to decrease the amount of teenage pregnancy in Manila for the next few
    years.

    The purpose of this alliance is to:

     Assess the awareness of different pregnancy preventative.


     Prevention of unwanted pregnancy.
     Decrease the continued increasing numbers of population in the City of Manila.

    Our study will focus on the rising incidence of unplanned adolescent pregnancies of
    Filipinos by emphasizing the necessity of sex education, and the provided knowledge will help
    avoid such accidents.

    OBJECTIVES: (GUISAMA) (8)

    This research aims to perceive the percentage of teen-age pregnancy in Manila and a way to
    reduce the numbers by having sex education implementend in schools and universities around
    manila.
    To identify and compare the percentage of teen-age pregnancies in Manila to other cities in the
    Philippines.

    To conciliate having sex education implemented in school and universities all over the
    Philippines.

    To educate teenagers about the importance of having safe sex and how can unsafe sex can
    jeopardize their life.

    METHODOLOGY/PROJECT DESIGN: (ESPINO) (7)

    This study intends to use cross sectional survey design in determining the ages of
    teenage moms to gain the exact rate and number of unwanted pregnancies or teenage
    pregnancy in the City of Manila. The study will sample 16 barangays in the City of Manila that
    have a population of 14,159,000 which are registered and operated in barangays area settings.
    The study will collect both primary and secondary data, and the quantitative data generated will
    be analyzed using descriptive statistics which will include percentage distribution, mean and the
    frequency counts. The qualitative data from the study will undergo transcription and be reported
    in themes and sub-themes. The relationship between the independent and dependent variables
    will be explained through multiple regression.

                In a new normal where social media, the internet, and technologies are the most used,
    gathering data for the victims of early pregnancy will be conducted through google forms due to
    the pandemic. With the help of the government of Manila, victims will be able to answer the
    survey in any place within Manila using cell phones, laptops, tablets, and other gadgets.
