1.0 Introduction:
The parallel winding of warp ends from many winding packages on to a common
package is called warping. Sectional Warping is used for especially for fancy
patterned fabric. In this case the sections of ends are first wound on to the drum
tapered with a given cone angle. So the cross wound sections are combined on the
drum, thus each layer of warp contains the same numbers of ends on the drum.
Then the warp yarns altogether transferred to the Weaver’s beam by unwinding the
drum.

2.0 Objectives:
The main objects are given below:

 To know about warping.

 To make progressive next step of fabric manufacturing.
 To make reusable small winding packages.
 To expand the required quality of warp yarn.
 To expand the weave-ability of warp yarn during fabric
manufacturing.
 To make suitable warp yarn sheet for the next process named sizing.
 To wind definite length of warp yarn in the warp beam.
 To increase fabric manufacturing production.
 To buildup of parallel yarn sheet.
 To modify various faults of warp yarn such as large knots, thin place
and thick place etc.
 To wind the predetermined length of warp yarn in the warp beam.
 To achieve long length of warp yarn which is too much helpful for
excessive fabric production.
 To accelerate the next process for woven fabric production.

3.0 Theory:
Warping comprises winding parts of the warp yarns, normally from bobbins, on a
warping beam, whereby sequential parts are wound next to each other until the full
weaving width is covered. The warping beam is then normally in a next step of
warp preparation used for beaming.

Again beaming comprises winding the full width of the warp yarns in a single
winding operation on the weaving beam (i.e. the beam which is to be placed on the
loom). The warp yarns can be wound from a creel or a warping beam.

5.0 Components:

1. Cone Holder : Hold the cone or arrange the cone in the creel.

2. Yarn Guide : To guide the yarn.

3. Tension Rod : Maintain yarn tension by upper & lower disc tensioner.

4. Ceramic Guide Disc : To guide the yarn from creel to warping m/c.

5. Auto Stop Sensor : To sense the breakage yarn.

6. Creel Panel Board : Display where the yarn break.

7. Guide Reed : Uniformly spread the yarn over the warp width.

8. Adjustable V-Reed : Guides the yarn to follow the fixed path.

9. Speed Controller : control the speed, crawl speed or full speed.

10. Pressure Roller : Exert required pressure to the warp yarn.

11. Measuring Device : Measures the length of the yarn.

12. Beam Bracket : Holds the warp beam.

13. Emergency Stop Device: For emergency stop.

14. Automatic Knock Off : Stop m/c at achieving required length of beam .

15. Electrical Panel Board : To give the automatic controlled function.

6.0 Discussion:

This experiment was to study about warping machine. In this experiment we

learned about this warping machine. Warping machine was shown and described to
us. Different knowledge about warping machine was achieved from this
experiment. We could know about different parts of the machine and also their
function. We also knew about the process flow chart of this machine. We also
knew that we need to take care about this machine parts for perfect result. So, this
experiment was really very essential for us. Thus from this experiment we have
known about warping machine and this knowledge will help us in future.

7.0 Conclusion:

Warping machine is an essential machine in textile engineering. But operation of

warping machine was not easy. The yarn passed through different part of the
machine so path should be frictionless. We should also take care about tension
variation. Besides we should control other machine parts very carefully otherwise
we could not fulfill our actual requirement..Different parts of warping machine was
carefully studied.
