EN10025_2 S355JR kind of Low alloy structual steel plate which is intended for manufacture the pla
nts of
factory ,the common constructure and construction machinery and equipment.Usually this grade woul
d be
signed as S355JR+N or S355JR N,it means these plates shall be need Normalized delivery condition,it
is
requested from customers.
Ultrasonic Test shall be carried out according to EN10025_1.For the impacting test,it indicates by JR,
J0,J2
and K2.
JR means at room temperature with minimum impact energy 27 J;
J0 means at 0 centidegree temperature with minimum impact energy 27 J;
J2 means at -20 centidegree temperature with minimum impact energy 27 J;
K2 means at -40 centidegree temperature with minimum impact energy 40 J.

*EN 10 025 S355JR/JO is comes under "structural steel" categories.
Equivalent standard is-ASTM A 572 Gr 50.
-The above-mentioned structural steel grades may be welded using any of the standard metal arc
and resistance welding processes, usually without any special precautions. However, when
welding heavy sections, BS 5135:1984 "Metal-arc welding of carbon and carbon manganese
steels" should be consulted to determine preheat requirements at low heat inputs.
The original Cor-Ten received the standard designation A 242 ("Cor-Ten A") from the ASTM
International standards group. Newer ASTM grades are A 588 ("Cor-Ten B") and A 606 for thin
sheet. All alloys are in common production and use.
