How to Setup Xmrig for CPU on Monero Ocean

1. Download the Monero Ocean fork of Xmrig from github.

https://github.com/MoneroOcean/xmrig/releases/tag/v6.12.2-mo2
In this example we are using 6.12.2.
Download the highlighted file for use on windows.

2. Unzip the files and place them in a new folder.

3. Go into windows defender and create an exclusion for this folder or else it will delete
your miner eventually.
4. Open the new Xmrig folder and you will have these 3 files:

5. Open the config.json and we will fill out the following:

url = this is the monero ocean mining pool address – gulf.moneroocean.stream:10128
user = this is your xmr wallet address
pass = the name of your mining rig
6. Save and close the config.json file.
7. Right click on xmrig.exe and “run as administrator”. You will be doing this every time
you want to run the miner.
8. The first message to appear in xmrig will tell you that permission was granted for “huge
pages” but that you need to reboot. So reboot your computer right now.
9. After reboot, run xmrig as an administrator and this time it will say “huge pages
enabled”.
10. Xmrig will now run benchmarks for your cpu and when it is done it will save the
benchmarks to the config.json file.
11. Xmrig should be mining now and will look like this:

12. You can check your progress on the pool webpage:

https://moneroocean.stream/
Enter your xmr wallet address and it will bring up your mining progress, but please give
it a good 30 minutes for it to update and show your miners.
