snowballs and added all kinds of accessories. They finished it at 10:45. How long
did it take them to complete the snowman?
After the snowman it was time for lunch. Sam started making soup at 11:55, while
Summer made sandwiches. They finished eating lunch at 1:10. How long were
they inside eating lunch?
At 1:30 it was time to have a neighborhood snowball fight. All their friends came
out to play. They made snowballs and fought in the snow until 2:25. How long did
their snowball fight last?

Use the clocks to show the times and help you solve.
Sam and Summer then invited all the friends over for hot chocolate. They started
at 2:40, but mixing all the chocolate and passing it out took awhile. If they finished
cleaning up at 4:05, how long did they rest and drink hot chocolate?
Go back through the problems you have solved and add up the total t ime the
friends spent playing outside on their fun, snowy day. (HINT: Don’t include time
that they were inside the house).
